Putting together a second airship, finally. Why the fuck is varnish so expensive? The mats are dirt cheap. Also going out on errands to collect mats for crafting buddies makes me feel a little like a retainer, except I get paid in a giant flying boat instead of crappy coins.

No raiding necessary. You won't have immediate access to top-level gear but if you're not the kind of person who cares a whole lot about that sort of thing, you'll probably enjoy it. Protip: If you have an AMD GPU, go inside your AMD control panel and make a custom profile for the game. Force GPU tessellation to 8x instead of using default application settings.
Your FPS will go up tremendously in scenes with tessellation involved like places with water around.

Im saying theres zero immersion. Theres almost no opportunity to roleplay. Everything is organized and set up make WoW feel like you're just operating a menu and not exploring a game world, especially when you get addons and the game world turns into a checklist.

Because the people running them are idiots and have no idea what they are doing? Everyone i know from XI doesn't play them for the same reasons, all the private servers are run by people that make there friends gods of the server, basic gameplay systems break constantly, and the majority of content just straight up doesn't work. I played ESO and I wasn't a big fan of the combat design, personally.
What I did love about it was the quests and story lines. It felt like a large Elder Scrolls game.
I bought it and played it on launch, by the way, when it was still a subscription MMO. I don't think I'd get anything out of it now nor am I interested in doing so.
I'm also not currently subbed to FFXIV and haven't been since 3.2. I'm waiting to see if SB is worth the time, and even then if it's worth more than a month's subscription.

I played a lot of MMOs before WoW, so subbing wasn't something new to me, but I don't really feel that games that have subs give you enough content for what they're asking for anymore. It probably doesn't help that both WoW and FFXIV have cash shops on top of their sub.
I've grown to like the buy to play model a lot more since I can pick and choose whether to purchase content or not, but any payment method can hypothetically work.
