holy fuck the blackhand is fucking annoying as hell to use. the fuckhueg scope just gets in the way if you try to use it as a backup weapon that can reach out far if you're ever caught trying to hipfire and finish someone off, and the long-range design of the weapon makes the usage of a short-range laser optic on it pointless, but everyone that getst he weapon is shoehorned into using the laser since it's literally the only attachment that improves the weapon whatsoever, even though it doesn't do so at its intended range

however, if you try to use it at long distances, 4 rounds a reload is rarely enough to do any meaningful damage to heavies. 5 rounds would make it MUCH more possible to kill a heavy assault with overshields at long distances.

the NS-44L has very little drop regardless of its relatively slow bullet velocity, and it could EASILY reach out to 75m with iron sights, assuming the shooter is still and crouched, all the while retaining some semblance of a backup weapon.

tl;dr: werl please give the NS-44L iron sights and an enlarged cylinder attachment that gives it one extra bullet per reload so it can be used either as a long-range backup weapon or a true pocket battle rifle

If someone says "I'm fat, what do?" I fiddle a LOT with sensitivity because I want to find the one which feels best for me. Why the hell does the slider only allow increments of 0.004? The difference between 0.100 and 0.104 hipfire is about 1 cm/360°. Everytime i have to close the game, navigate to game folder, open UserOptions.ini, change the value, save, launch the game. Rinse and repeat. Can we get a finer increment, like 0.001? Or even better if it was like other normal games (and I'm not talking about FPS only) where you click the value and input the one you want with your keyboard.

It depends on the weapon. Anything above 60% would definitely be suspicious to me though. Even then, I'd probably be pretty suspicious of most non NS-15 weapons sitting above 50%. Players who can pull those types of stats are far outliers.

HSR on its own doesn't mean too much though. It's in context of their other stats too, along with what weapons.

The only shotgun ever worth using are the pump actions. Even then, after werl nerfed their OHK range from like 5 metres down to what 2m? it's probably better to just equip a power knife. At least then you get to equip a real weapon, and you're guaranteed the 1 shot kill. Shotguns were pretty bad before, and then they got made a whole lot worse.

Is it worth putting an Advanced Laser Sight on guns that can equip it? Most of them have .75 ADS speed so I always go with a forward grip instead because those weapons already have not too shitty hipfire accuracy even without ASL.

Most of those points aren't even correct.
Hossin's a surprisingly fresh map. Vehicles can't HE the spawn room because cliffs and trees block angles. Zergs have to funnel through chokepoints unless they pull air, which they don't. Vehicles are insanely effective thanks to having so much cover across the entire continent, but aren't overpowered because the difficult terrain and cover keeps them from doing the cancer they dish out on the other three maps. Things like the Valkyrie and Flash have an actual use on the map.

The issue is that you actually need to use your brain on Hossin and can't just farm spawns and zerg from warpgate to warpgate, meaning 99% of the playerbase literally don't know what to do on the continent.

Ask literally anyone who played on Hossin back when it gave the MAX bonus and actually had the occasional fight. People literally reinstalled to be part of that.

Default is very good, but if you want something entirely different get either NS11C or GD-7F. Avoid Bandit, it's crap.

ACX-11 is also very good (mini gauss saw) but it's more or less a harder to use Mercenary.

Looses a bit of hipfire and DPS compared to the Merc, and in exchange it is a more stable gun and can get recoil reducing attachments. Is a decent choice

Looses a bit of DPS compared to the Merc, in exchange it gets a shit to more attchement options. The underbarreled shot gun is hilarious on LA, but as an engie you can take advantage of the ammo pack for infinite grenades/smoke. Is a decent to good choice.

A hilarious close range DPS rape monster. Synergizes much better in my opinion with the hit and run style of the LA, but if you want to absolutely wreck that HA right fucking now it is probably your best choice. Is a solid choice, especially in a close to mid range fight.

One of my favorite guns, it is a mid range beast. If you can control the recoil the 200 damage model lets you punish people with headshots. Requires good aim for use in CQC, but can do reasonably well there. I found this to be one of the better carbines for my engie.
>AF-7 Bandit
This is almost a strait upgrade over the merc. You gain DPS and a .75 ADS speed in exchange for slightly less accuracy. I found that this let me dominate in the close to mid range when I purpled it.

All in all you can't go wrong with any of the NC carbines, nothing is strait up terrible. Please note though that it has been some time since I purpled those bad boys so my info might be a bit out of date.

TL;DR- I would recommend ACX-11 or bandit, but any choice will do.
