Inara is more useful as a secondary tank rather than a solo tank. Her trapping people that try to run away or separating enemies/deathballs with her wall is very useful if she has a Ruckus/Makoa to help her kill everybody that got trapped.

I have two problems with the idea of the front liner pushing ahead of the cart. The first is that Front Lines get more credits for actually being on the objective, the second is that when I play Front Line no one else stays on the objective so if I attempt to push ahead the cart will just be left alone and not pushed.
