Distrust was cancelled in the first place because it didn't seem like it was marketable. That's one of the reasons I personally enjoyed DR1 more than DR2. The atmosphere was claustrophobic and oppressive and a lot of the cast were hostile and untrustworthy. DR2 has wacky antics like a buffet and a concert and arcade games with everybody being buddy buddy until the second before they kill eachother.
