Team Danganronpa intentionally inserted the forced hope vs. despair conflict as a way to morph the concept of hope itself. In the other DRs, hope was used as a rallying call to fight for a better future, in an act of rebellion against the overwhelming despair that covered the Earth. However, TDR has morphed the concept into watered down rhetoric. Hope in DRV3 is a completely arbitrary concept, it's only characteristic being that it is the opposite of the despair, and you should be rooting for it. Now, put this into the context that TDR decides what and who are hope and despair. Hope is the tool to keep the people in line, and Danganronpa is how they condition the people.

Well, the problem is that Kaede was already in her SHSL clothes and obviously she didn't have them until they were given to her in the prologue. She was also trying to recall the past and got a completely different memory, and the SHSL Hunt bit doesn't turn up until chapter 2 when she's already dead.
