It's several good ideas that are poorly executed or half assed. And the satanist group (and I started a Lithuania campaign today and had their own secret society for Romuva or perhaps it was a generic pagan one. Either way, the events don't even change anything, it has clear references to hell and Satan despite this being a pagan group named something different) is beyond overpowered. You get something like 20 intruige by the end, it's piss easy even for someone as bad as me to become the leader of it, and you can kill anyone in your realm at will, and others outside can be killed eventually with a bit of luck. If you are a duke, you can safely give your children county level titles under you, and they will stay vassalized to you and whoever inherits the duchy level title. The same thing goes for duchies under a kingdom and kingdoms under an empire.

Just make sure to never give out titles that are equivlent to you, and if you have Gavelkind, make sure you only own one highest level title. If you are trying to build a kingdom or empire with Gavelkind, you need to either do it in one generation, or only have one heir.

Absolutely quantity. The finisher is broken as fuck for any nation, +50% force limit is godly. And on Muscovy you already get some of the boosts quantity is giving you so it stacks.

You should never be in a position where attrition for enemies/etc. defense bonuses actually matter anyway, the AI is braindead and every war should be fought on their turf. Forts are overrated and a small morale boost doesn't matter when you crushingly outnumber the foe and flank them.

If you have a fuckload of manpower (200k+) you can just "train suicide" several stacks into the enemy, considering he's maxed out on quality, draining his entire manpower in a few fights rendering his discipline irrelevant. It's insanely OP. However, if you RP as a small nation with some 15-20 force limit, you should go for quality instead because your army is gonna bankrupt you otherwise.

Your economy and manpower will stop you from maxing your force limits in any efficient matter until later in the game.
The +50% force limits won't win you fights and it won't win you wars. Quantity can win you wars, but it won't be the force limits that does it.
Best case scenario, if you're very bad at the game and don't know how to handle coalitions, you can make some use out of the extra force limits and make sure you don't waste manpower by maxing out and continually make cheap infantry until you can fight a war again.

It's based on a few bonuses that you get from buildings and your stats, especially learning. Spread works differently.

Why wouldn't they be?

Quantity is overkill on Muscovy.
You will always have enough force limit and manpower to field two combat width stacks without it.
When you fill the combat width it is all about morale, discipline and damage bonuses.
Quantity first is the least fun way to play EU4.
Trowing more bodies at the problem works always, and manpower being just number is one of the biggest flaws of the game.

By what metric, other than graphics and maybe interface? Between DH having an industry system that's better at automanaging, a more interesting/immersive research system and dank-ass mods (New World Order for your Cold War needs, Grand Campaign if you feel severely autistic, Kaiserreich to waggle your Willy) there's only one unique feature (I hesitate to use the word 'advantage') HoI 3 truly has and that's the OOB system.

The OOB system is neither complex nor useful, it merely adds another layer of tedious micromanagement that borders on the autistic. The first mistake it makes is that the smallest units visible on the map are divisions rather than corps', even though under almost all circumstances you'll keep your corps' units together. After that you'll need to add various higher levels of command that all have their own leaders. You can choose to auto-assign leaders or to choose them yourself. If you auto-assign them, you've defeated the entire point of having that system in the first place. If you choose your own leaders, you're heavily micromanaging for the smallest and most insignificant boni, with nothing really being more significant than "assign panzer leader to panzer corps", which DH offers you the opportunity to do as well.

In other words, the only thing HoI 3 does well compared to DH is capture the tedium of being a supreme commander who has to constantly tweak his army to perform optimally. But that does not make for a fun game.

But let's be fair here, I forgot the one thing HoI 3 objectively does better: diplomacy and espionage. In HoI 3 they're actually not useless (as opposed to DH) so I'll give them that.

HoI3 is much better in terms of warfare and depth. For example, you can not use your cags individually in DH, in HoI3 you can select them from the carrier selection window and naval strike ships or ground attack losers. Your carrier doesn't have to be in combat. in DH naval bombers are fucking disgusting, completely broken.
In HoI3 you have a much bigger map in terms of provinces.

DH does a lot of things really well or even better though. Money can be used for a number of things, this shit is completely missing from Hoi3. Fuck Paradox.
You can sue for peace as opposed to having to conquer the other dude if you're both in factions. You can also demand territory that way by warscore. Shit is cash.
In general DH has a lot more falvour and fucking floatplanes. FUCK Paradox for not having floatplanes in HoI3.
