To be honest, as an Ana main who mainly focuses on healing, this nerf hasn't fucked me too badly. Flankers have become emboldened because of her nerfs and think they can take me out easily. I might not be able to kill them as easily, but I can still sleep them or damage them enough to make them retreat.

Anti-heals and sleepdart are too valuable to replace.

Bastion is DPS in both forms. Athena changing roles between forms would greatly differentiate her. In humanoid she could have a tether ability that pulls teammates to her and an ability to quickly recharge shields (not barriers). They overdid it just like they overdid Dva's nerf. She didn't need to lose her self heal, grenade damage, and wind up with less dps potential than mercy.

She was the second-highest DPS after Soldier, that's bullshit no matter how much you try to twist it. It's bad enough Symmetra has a weapon that kills people in less than 2 seconds, but at least she's not a healer. Ana being able to three-shot all 200HP heroes then bring 4 tanks back to full health in seconds then sleep dart someone was overpowered and needed to be reduced. She's still the highest HPS but only by a small margin now instead of a mandatory pick gulf and her damage now fits her Support role.

You've still got your 4-in-1 grenade and strongest CC in the game while being able to switch between projectile and hitscan on a whim, you'll survive.

Actually, having to look up to aim at pharah is a huge disadvantage, depending on the angle. If she's close enough to you horizontally you'll be looking up at such an angle that you'll be effectively unaware of anything going on at ground level, leaving you to get blindsided by a roadhog hook, widow sniping you, McCree walking up and flashbanging you, etc.

Not to mention that if she's directly above you, you just cannot win.

Ana lost versus flankers the majority of the time anyway, people talk about her "two shotting flankers" as if Tracer just unloading her mags into the back of her head doesn't kill her far faster, or genji plinking away with his shuriken, nevermind that Tracer can recall before the DoT even kills her. Most of Ana's kills came through her scope, assuming pure 1v1 and not you helping your team focus someone down.

Flankers are easily able to dodge it, it's not a matter of "git gud", it's the fact you can literally see Ana raise her arm before firing it which is your cue to blink or deflect.

It's strongest against tanks and immobile targets, and even then you can use a Zarya bubble or Dva matrix to stop it if you want to protect an ulting Pharah or McCree from it.

Although honestly I don't think anyone would've cared if it was nerfed and it's an ability about Ana most really complain about except in 3v3
