What if vengeance is a lingering effect? Let's say you set yourself to 10hp then after you heal up you're still in vengeance for the next 2-3 turns then it disappears until you set yourself into 10 again. So the playstyle of blood will be swinging in between 10 hp and high hp ranges rather than sitting at lethal range all the time just to proc card effects

Blood has aggro, which will lose to any other aggro deck because you hit yourself so much. Midrange Blood is just ok. Combo Blood requires immensely lucky draws, as there's no way to guarantee you get your combo pieces (unlike Prism/Gobbo/Maid Leader/The infinite card draw that Rune has) and Control Blood is also ok.

Most of the time, decks that are just ok don't cut it in a game filled with great decks.

If it doesn't say "deal damage" then it doesn't combo with Mary. The only reason for this is suicide aggro so you can run dark generals and demon commanders. It even gives you the card draw aggro needs. Not a terrible card, but it won't see much play as long as 5+ face damage from hand on turn 5 is still a thing.

The sword lego is a turn 4 do nothing. It's best play would be a turn 6 front guard and it is likely to want to waste an evo point. It does nothing to help Albert after turn 8, and requires you actually have the commanders you need for the combos in your hand. It has great value, but this game isn't about getting great value from plays because of cards like dod and themis. This game is about storm damage and surviving storm damage so you can auto win on turn 9.

I honestly think the blood lego is better than the sword lego given the current meta and the options blood/sword have right now.
