Have you never played Braver to even understand that you WILL use Sakura for certain circumstances the craft makes it worse for? Everyone can meme it up about Braver being the Guren class, but there are circumstances you will use other PAs for. Guren can and will overshoot, making you miss hitting the part of the enemy you want to hit, unlike Sakura where you can control it better which would be one of its usecases.

Theorycrafting has no point if it has no real world use, and that's simply what crafted Sakura is.

Tsukimi-sazanka into Gekka-zakuro.
The best single target DPS right after all hit Hatou and precharged Kazan.
It's a two step combo so you can even stretch it out with Normal 3 to be able to spam it basically indefinitely since N3 gives back nearly as much PP as TsukiGekka costs, obviously lowers the DPS a bit but bumps up the damage/pp by an absolutely ridiculous amount. Even doing that the DPS is still comparable to Sakura and only marginally lower than Guren.
If you opt for crafted Sakura Endo you can replace the Tsuki part to make it the indisputably best DPS Katana has.

Yes, and all this theorycrafting goes down the drain the moment you actually try to use it in gameplay.
You trade Sakura's usecases outside of DPS for only DPS on something grounded and kept there. Outside of that, you lose out on the need for the precise hit or any movement. It has one usecase and one usecase only, which Guren would fare much better in.

Swapping over to crafted Sakura>Gekka combos dumps your PP in a flash and could even lower your actual DPS. Sustaining it puts your DPS lower than Guren. Importantly, that all being said, this means jackshit if it isn't at all practical, which is the method you're suggesting.

Bosses like Dio have orbs on its arms you wouldn't hit with well with Guren, and it isn't grounded so your Tsuki>Gekka or Sakura0>Gekka can eat shit. - austere is still among the best. it's beaten slightly by gix and fornis in terms of damage but not PP regen obviously. the only weapons that really beat austeres (and everything else) are 14* if there's one for that weapon type. however austeres aren't really worth the trouble of getting them anymore since the astra weapons are almost the same and are CF file weapons

- saiki is still amazing. current best set is austere rear + arm + union ray leg. 12* units are very good but the lack of set bonuses are holding them back so far, and the latest 12* battle arena units don't seem to have changed this

- phantom mother is new and is amazing. I don't know when you stopped but if it was pre-Yamato then Yamato is even more amazing

tsukimi into gekka made sense because they each cancelled out eachothers' vertical movement and allowed you to capitalize on tsukimi's faster speed. sakura t0 into gekka offers no synergy and will have you reaching for the sky, or it would if it wasn't fucking 40-50pp per rotation.

while the DPS of tsukimi into gekka is actually decent, the damage/pp ratio is nowhere even near guren's. at 30pp per rotation to a guren's 20pp, tsukimi->gekka does not even come close to dealing 1.5x the damage of a guren

finally, switching out tsukimi for sakura t0 is what makes the least sense. at it's very best, sakura t0 will cost 25pp to do a fair bit less damage than guren, so the damage/pp ratio will get fucked even further. will it be better in pure DPS terms without regards for pp limitations? probably, it's a pretty fast move to pull out. would it actually have the best damage/pp ratio? fuck no. would it make the slightest bit of sense to pair it with gekka? FUCK no

you're right about the first part, I had a brainfart back there regarding the tsukimi gekka order. but it doesn't do anywhere near 3 to 4 times the damage, sakura t0 won't do even twice the damage of tsukimi. the second slash will deal about the same damage, and the first slash isn't as strong as the 2nd

regardless, it's a better alternative and still very slightly more pp cost-effective at +0pp, so I take back my first point. it'll make for a better pure burst combo but it's still a really shitty PA overall especially when you consider it takes away our regular sakura end

You can see what the possible items on your card are before you scratch and it hasn't popped up there once. If you do get it on your card you can spend extra SG to scratch the other fields if you don't luck out and get it on your first try.

ray union is 75hp/9pp/25atk
thunder izaneshi is 150hp/20atk
astra is 60hp/10pp/20atk

ray union is the better of the latter three, so basically it comes down to whever you want 80atk or 25atk + 9pp
