Funnily enough, Elder is already buffed and has an improved moveset from when he was initially launched. They buffed him ages ago in like Ep2 or something.

You can see the pre-buffed version in the old XQ rare stages. His attacks there don't have ice effects and I think he doesn't even use lasers when he's doing arm strikes.

I doubt he's going to get buffed again seeing as he's pretty much not relevant in any way.

New player here and I have a question about unit extending. I just had my units extended to level 3 (mix of HP and PP) by someone else. I was planning to extend them to level 4 but the preview defense stats shown are lower.

If I proceed, will I lose def and will I keep the bonus HP and PP?

Extend stats are fixed. A unit extended to level 4 will have the same stats no matter what unit you did it to. Nowadays you don't really have to bother with extending, just get a cheap hiei set from the player shop and wear those until you get something better either via buying it or hitting max level and farming.

The problem is that DA takes too long to reliably use for it. 2 DAs followed by IF is really fucking tight, you will miss the big hit on IF if you are a couple frames late on your inputs. If you only have space for 2 PAs anyways then sure, do your DA IF, but SATx2 IF is a hell of a lot safer for marginally less damage.

Now if you are playing GuFi DA->SAT->IF is something you should consider.

Only the Tech weapons are good since the Gix requirement for those are no Mirage Dodge which isn't very feasible. The low TAtk still kinda puts a damper on it, but if nothing else they are a tiny bit stronger than Astra.
They are really more meant as starter 13*s for newbies, you can start working on them on your way to your first 75 if you level through AQs.
