Looking back at XIII, and all memes aside, Caius did nothing wrong.

Lightning and friends are considered to be in the right when they're willing to do anything to save their skins and the skins of Serah and Dajh, who are young and don't deserve the admittedly shitty fate of being turned to crystal.

Caius just wants to save Yeul from what amounts to eternal suffering regardless of the cost to himself. His cause is much more just and far less selfish. He's even willing to pass on the burden to Noel because he sees the love he has for the last Yeul and he thinks he might be better suited to the task, but unfortunately Noel is legitimately retarded.

Before LR came out, I genuinely thought Noel and Caius were going to turn out to be the same person caught in some endless time loop where he gives the Heart of Chaos to himself then gets tossed back in time, sort of like Soul Reaver. I'm still convinced they at least toyed with the idea, or maybe all those scenes and shots in XIII-2 where Noel looks like he's going to grab Caius' sword or they have one in the foreground and the other in the background and you can see their incredibly similar features side by side, and the Spacetime Guardian DLC costume Noel got were just hinting that he could have become another Caius but he rejected it.

Help, I can't play Record Keeper. I've been playing it on Bluestacks, but today it started randomly lagging really, really hard, it's unplayable. I heard online that uninstalling/reinstalling Bluestacks fixes the random lag problem. After I uninstall, I was thinking of trying it on Nox to see if it runs better on that. I'm worried about my account data though. I don't know if my account is linked or not (not sure if Bluestacks being an Android emulator means that RK links automatically to my google account like it says it does for Android devices). And I think it said something under Account Management that linking the same account to two devices overwrites or something? I'm making a backup of Bluestacks right now, but unlike the time I did this a few weeks ago, it froze on "Quitting Bluestacks" with an empty progress bar instead of making a backup.

Fuck! Fresh reinstall of Bluestacks didn't do shit to fix this lag. Tried Nox, downloaded RK, went to Manage Account on the naming screen, went to Link Account, switched it to the google account I use with Bluestacks, signed it in, it said app data etc synced, so I figured I was all good. Takes me back to the name entry screen and a new window pops up, some kind of google error saying I tried linking to a game already in progress or some shit.

You have to be online (PC only), but nowadays it's pretty fast to level and travel, and you can fill a party with NPCs (not at the beginning, but the Rhapsodies of Vana'diel missions expand your ability to use NPCs from the initial 3 up to 5).

Since a lot of the content was designed around a level cap of 75 and now the cap is 99 (and it goes higher than that with gear, some of which is easy to get), playing through story content is fairly trivial the older it is.
