That's my issue with Lear's petty insistence on polling IRC. He did advertise the event here, true. But, /4ccg/ is a small fraction (5-10%) of the viewership at large and it's skewed towards past and present cup participants rather than casual viewers. So, from that subset, an even smaller, even more skewed subset of people actually showed up on IRC, either because their heads were on the block (the cabal) or because they had the time available and thought it worth their time to dissent. You're talking about a fraction of a fraction of the viewers and one weighted in favor of the cabal. You can't poll those people and call the result "the majority," nor can you dismiss criticism of that process by appealing to your advertisement of the town hall, since that just begs the question. It's a farce.
