Sigils are finite. You want to milk each one for as much value as you can, and a one-shot ignition effect that generates a single card's worth doesn't quite cut it when you look at just how much more the deck's golds are liable to shit out.

This can easily change if the set includes more sigils that are worth a shit, more playable sigil generators, or if several more aggressive earth rite cards are added to the pool. A single card that does something like this isn't anything to write home about.

If Aegis is affected by bane, it's absolutely worthless. Fangblade exists, and so does Zeus, and both are cards that will be used regardless of Aegis. Honestly, the card is just an alternate Satan for Guardian Sun decks (yes, I know it doesn't get ward). Now you don't need to gamble each turn on what you draw, and you don't have to replace your deck.

It's still weak to the same shit (turn 7 and 8 combo decks), still strong to the same shit. The biggest change is the Dragon match up. Sun Satan was very weak against Dragon, but now this card will shit on Dragon's life if they don't super ramp out an early Satan.

There are already cards that do 2+ damage to you like Bloodfangs, Blood Pact, and Serpent Charmer. It really won't make a difference for Dark General. Putting a 1/4 out will help absorb fairies and knights but that's about it.

Serpent Charmer, Blood Wolf, Ambling and Razory Claw are the only ones good enough to run in aggro.

I tried Bloodfang and Pact. They just don't work.

As it stands, with the cards I mentioned, getting to vengeance soon enough against opponents like Haven and Dshift can be a challenge. I often find myself 2 damage off and missing lethal.

Spiderweb Imp will make the difference I think.
