I've noticed a lot more requests for the Echo /ss/ pic than the POV sequel to the Frost smut I promised a couple threads back.
I want a quick vote on how many of you want which one first. I can definitely do the /ss/ first for variety if enough people want me to, because I'm getting both done eventually anyways.

And as for the /ss/, I need more feedback on what you want with it. Never drawn shota before, so I need to know your tastes so I can make it as pleasing as possible, no matter when I end up getting started on it.

Flash hiders on SMGs most of the time since they reduce horizontal recoil and help more with bursts, Muzzle Brakes for most ARs since most of them have more significant first shot recoil, and Muzzle brakes help a lot with easing into the recoil of the shots following the first and make control feel more consistent.
If you don't have an issue with first shot recoil on a rifle though, Flash hider is the way to go due to the slight horizontal recoil reduction, plus no more muzzle flash means it's easier to track your targets.
I never use compensators since the early shots in a burst are always the most important, and comps take way too long to start having an effect.
Use what you find works best, but this is where I start for each gun.

I'd argue the Supernova is the most underwhelming shotgun currently.
You need ~3 shots just to drop someone in the same room. That' unacceptable in a game where you die in half a second to anything else.

Not true.
It has one of the longest shotgun kill ranges in the game if you aim for center mass like you're supposed to, right next to the Frenchie shotgun. Are you aiming for the head? that doesn't deal any additional damage anymore.
Having a tighter spread with slightly lower damage just means you have to really center your aim on the enemy, and you can't kill as easily with only half of the crosshair over their mass.

Montagne is good, people just don't play him right. He's annoying, but how threatening he is depends on a lot of factors that can't be as easily abused without good coordination on the defense.
Barbed wire, Smoke, and Echo can all deal with him pretty well, but in lower skill-levels you don't see as much Echo or razor wire, and low-level Smokes love to blow their loads early instead of saving them for when they're needed.

They made the triangle itself much smaller a while ago, along with the dot of the red dot, but then they went and fucked it up with Velvet shell because the sights "needed to be normalized" which more than anything just made the Reflex and Red Dot almost unusable again.

Talk a lot, since you can't spot and you're the only one that can use Yokai.
Only sonic burst when enemies are about to engage, not when you first see them. Call when you hit a burst so your roamers can put pressure on the now stalled attacker, especially if they're alone.

Netcode isn't top notch like Overwatch's, but it's sturdy. The real flaw with "hitreg" and "netcode" in Siege is the weakness of the servers. Most of the flaws you see revolve around shitty ping, which is a problem exacerbated by the shit servers Siege is hosted on. Just look at how fragile they are, that every free weekend there are repeated outages, to the point where potential customers that like the core game just skip out on it because it's practically unplayable half of the time they get the chance to try it.

Outside of doing a complete upgrade of the major servers, they could also reduce peeker's advantage by reducing the speed of 3 speed operators, since those are who get the most mileage out of peekers advantage by a huge margin. 2 armors only get significant peekers advantage once pings get over 100, in which case there should be proper lag comp that doesn't favor the shooter as much when high ping is involved.
That's the true flaw of the netcode: not punishing ping enough. Rather than rubberbanding, if you're out of sync with the server you get to play the game as if your connection was fine, and everyone else has to pay the price. I say the game should rubberband those with high ping by force-matching their location with the location recognized by the server more often, to give good incentive to play on your own damn servers. Of course this could only be done once servers were upgraded, otherwise a lot of people with only moderate or normal pings would be affected.

I've bounced between 80 and 85. Almost dipped down to 75, but realized how tunnel visioned I was starting to get. I think I'm settled on 82 right now, that gives me a good balance of peripheral and focus.

Shotty+Bearing is the way to go.
His SMG has an acog though, so if you're playing in a site with longer ranges you might have to take it anyways, and it's perfectly viable if you go for bursts and taps, but if the site you're playing in is crowded the Nova is perfect for the job.
Also don't let people tell you otherwise, the Supernova is one of the best shotguns in the game due to its good kill-range; you just have to be accurate with it. Make sure you're really in line with center mass or you won't make the most of its accuracy.

Since sound-whoring is so potent in Siege, it practically acts as an auxilary peripheral vision. High fov isn't as useful since in most situations you're going to be pre-aiming or checking your crosshair placement anyways, so using your ears can be more effective than focusing on the edges of your screen. I never really have situations where I wish my fov was higher than it is (82)
Lowering your fov essentially lets you see targets close to the center of your screen as bigger, which helps when you're trying to peek tight angles or make sure your shots are going to hit their head; it just gives you better detail focus, which is big in Siege.

Murder holes are potentially a double edge blade: if you make them too small you reduce the amount of guesswork the enemy has as to where you're going to be watching from, and in turn they can locate your head and end you pretty damn quick. I've gotten lots of easy kills on ops thinking they were being cheeky with their melee murder holes, but more than anything it just paints a "shoot here" mark on a wall. Just be aware of that.

As for Brazilians and 3 speed Rushers, depending on their ping there's not a whole lot you can do. Best way to deal with non-foreign rushers though is to just sound-whore like a mad-man. Hopefully soon we'll have better systems in place to reduce peeker's advantage, but as it is the best any player can do to counter peeks is to peek yourself and prefire at head height if you suspect one from the enemy.

Yeah, pretty much. Since the weapons are all hitscan the only time you'll get trades is if the killing shots are made at the exact same time according to the servers. If one party dies first in the eyes of the server, it'll stop registering your damage to the other player even if it takes 70 ms for you to get the fact that you're dead now.
Granted, I rarely have the above mentioned situation happen to me. Most of the time if someone's ping fucked me over it was through a peek, not me shooting them and it not registering, though it seems my experiences are normally a lot better than most people's.

Yeah that's why. If you look at pro league picks for sights you'll notice most of the players that use exclusively 1x sights all have fovs hovering around 80. Not saying you should copy pro league players, but it is a trend I've noticed in higher level play. Most people use 90 fov with acogs in mid level, and that's where a lot of the complaining about the Acog being a crutch comes from, since Acogs help reduce the lack of detail/focus you can get with 90 fov.
