So far I think I have had the most fun poisoning the shit out of everything via ninjutsu. Buffs/debuffs are all very strong but they just don't feel very satisfying. The Iga ninja set bonus refilling your tools is amazing too because you can actually use them on a regular basis instead of having to pace them out. I just wish +damage while poisoned was more common and bosses had a more resonable resistance to it.

He's easy if you know how to deal with him.

You can beat him in no time if you learn his three exploitable moves: when he rears up to summon the four lightning strikes, when he breathes lightning, and when he pounces and falls over. In each of these his ribcage starts glowing; hit it to completely drain his stamina and get a few good hits in before backpedalling to avoid getting hit by the lightning that strikes as he recovers.

Knowing this makes him much, much easier to defeat when you do the final onmyo dojo mission.

Well. I have max 160 gear. I have every title. I have beat ng+ and every twilight mission.

What do I do now?

Just finished 5th region, why were all the bosses in it so easy? All the humanoid bosses turned into dodge to the right and they miss every attack and the giant skeleton was just stupid. The first boss on the 2nd mission seemed pretty cool, but somehow he couldnt hit you if you dodhed to either of his sides. The 2nd boss I dont even remember anything except that I went in with 2 elixirs, he had a spear and I one shot him.

Any advice for a poison build? How much is it affected by ninjitsu power (damage/duration/whatever else)? Is there a guardian spirit that helps (Fuse-Ushi says 25% recurrent damage from poison but I honestly can't tell if that's a 25% boost or a 25% reduction to poison you take). Are the paralysis effects garbage? Is this build unfeasible?

From what I can tell poison damage is based more on enemy health than anything else. As for actually landing it the poison cloud bombs seem to be the most consistent. Not sure if Ninjutsu power helps at all or if it just boosts the direct damage from hitting something with a throwing weapon.

I don't personally care for the spinning though. I usually use skill life drain on the axe instead of critical ki reduction and kara-jishi. It's like ~350 health back from a grapple and 230 from an unchanged lumber chop.

I spend most of my time in mid. The basic swings are a good balance between range/speed and those "stomp" moves or whatever hurt like a bitch. You can also slot Reaper to mid stance and bust that shit out in living weapon - fucked giant skeleton up something fierce.

I'm not certain on the full numbers but I noticed an overall increase in amrita and gold on completed levels, plus you get loads of Honor. Along with that, the revive system makes every run fairly simple as long as someone stays alive. Problem is you might have to carry your teammate, but I like being a showoff carry so that's fine by me.

You have to learn the timing and look for her tell about when she will shoot the needle. That works better than preventing it. Also don't waste resources on every fight, save them for a fight you have her down low on health in and need safety to finish her. Same for living weapon, use it as a finisher when she has like 1/4th health left.

If it's like the beta you can also blast her out of the sky with a quick shot when she flies up in the air but you have to be very fast with the aiming or else she'll attack first.

The onmyo effect on the duals doesn't add any melee damage whatsoever. Tested at 30 magic and 99 magic. I tested with no points invested in the onmyo tree, and about 170 points invested in the onmyo tree. I tested with about 300 onmyo magic power and 700 onmyo magic power. It does not affect melee with the weapon, not even one single point of damage.

What it does affect is the strength of your onmyo magic. I tested with the elemental shot projectiles. It added maybe 10% more damage to them which is fucking nothing really since at 99 magic, 700 onmyo power, they hit for about 250-350 depending on armor. I tested them on a max level revenant who was only wearing the fox kabuto and I could do 500 to him each shot. It's actually pretty cheesy when you use shadowround talisman and have 51% unlimited onmyo. I can stunlock revenants and humanoids to death pretty easily without depleting my supply much. Usually I'll only deplete about 3 actual casts to kill a revenant and it takes quite a few projectiles. I have 9 of each element.

The onmyo magic stat on the swords probably affects everything you can do with onmyo. I would imagine for buffs it just extends the duration, which is not useless. There is one glaring flaw to the weapon. You can't put a scaling bonus on it because of the A onmyo power scaling, even though this doesn't affect the melee at all. It's pretty fucking retarded. So it's kinda trash, but not total trash. Just the trash you'd only use if you were a 99 magic build like myself. I have 38 skill and not much in other stats at all besides magic, and at +4 I've got 930 damage. That's a bit low compared to a katana with heart scaling and 40 heart.

Can I get ninjitsu and magic skill points by using those skills like you do with weapon proficiency? I don't use ninjutsu or magic, just pure 1kat, but some of the passive skills are nice.

If so, what is a good way to farm ninjitsu and magic skill points?

You can't farm them. You gotta spend points or find ninja/onmyo locks, which are finite.

Why is it that when I go to level up even if I have 1kat, much of the time a level in heart will only give me say 1 point whereas a point in skill might give me 3 or 4? The weapon doesn't even have higher skill scaling or a special ability that adds skill scaling. It's still plain ol C or C- or whatever skill is with generic 1kat.

I finally beat Bat Lady! For awhile, I was starting think that /v/ shitposting about how NioH was too easy was actually true but this boss, this entire area actually, knocked me down a peg.
