I was 2.7k peak and feel to 2.3k I got placed as 1700, and havnt lost a game since.
My friend was 2.3k peak played the same placements as me minus 1 game and got 2.7k this season.

I lost 600 he gained 500.

So who knows, look on the bright side, if you really were master you wont lose a game until atleast plat.

I started last season in silver and ended in diamond. The tone of games changed somewhere around 2700 and people started trying harder, though there was still shit like hanzo pickers and throwers and stuff the games became a lot more teamplay focused even if it was just clumsy pushes and dives. Also you were more likely to get a 2/2/2 comp at least and not 1 tank and 1 healer like in lower ranks.

If I had a bastion on my team I'd go D.va and someone else would go rein and we'd take turns shielding him

If there was a bastion on the other team I'd often go roadhog and try to hook the bastion when there's downtime on the shields that are protecting him.

Both strats worked fairly well. Also surprisingly i had more than a few games where there wasn't a bastion on either team

That's not remotely true.
Nanoblade does 180 a hit at 1 hit per second. Hog can easily outheal that briefly, if he doesn't just hook and kill the Genji. It takes nearly the entire ult to kill a Hog. point being that even if you kill him it's basically a waste of two ults when you could have chopped through all the supports and squishy DPSes first.

I wish they would put limit on how long a point can be contested in overtime. if a team can't take the point within 30-45 seconds then they don't deserve to win/capture the point. its annoying to be 3 minute into overtime and end up losing because of a jumpy tracer staying alive long enough that 3 enemies can get back from spawn and all last ditch ult at the same time and take the point.

I have both killed Bastions as Sombras and Sombras as Bastions. Unless you've got some kind of statistical breakdowns of the results of Bastion vs Sombra encounters among players of various skills, pre and post buff, theory dueling is about as much as you can do on an imageboard.
But yes, I don't doubt that you frequently get the kill on players who are bad enough not to look at you after almost a second of hack time.

Sombra gets ult every 40 seconds, so I'm not sure why we wouldn't include it when we're talking about counters. Also every single hero can kill their hardest counter if the skill gap is high enough.
