This is the issue with trying to make a game balance that works both for very good players and really bad ones.

Bastion was nearly useless in the upper rank comp, because virtually everyone knew how to flank and counter him. So they put out a buff for him. But Bastion was already doing well in lower ranks because people will just run up to him to get mowed down. I'm not sure how to design a hero like bastion in such a way that he is still viable in upper rank play but not dominating lower ranks.

I haven't really seen bastion do anything in upper ranks that another hero couldn't do better. Your right he can set up as a nasty surprise for the other team as long as he has some means of getting there without being spotted, but as soon as the other team is aware of him he's outclassed by most other options.

Guys, I am an incredibly average player. My ranking is just over 2000 and I win almost exactly 50% of games I play.

Hmm. Arcade is an underrated mode in my opinion. Get lootboxes while improving with specific heroes, although some game mechanics (Such as pushing/defending a point) are something you should probably go to quickplay with.

If your aim sucks, I'd recommend doing a custom match, headshots only, against a team of hard anas. Because ana's can't headshot, you can practice trying to score headshots on fast moving AI.

If you don't get the mechanics of some hero powers, I'd recommend looking up some guides for whatever hero your interested in.

I'd say it's a good idea to have at least on hero that your good with in DPS, Tank, and support. I wouldn't sweat the trash talk thrown @ "mediocre" players here. Just keep playing and you'll get better with time.

Is it just me or did that last update fuck with mouse sensitivity. Been running the same settings since the game launched and since the update I cant hit shit.

Today I messed with the sensitivity settings (turned it up a bunch) and was back to being able to aim consistently. The game still feels a little unresponsive though. (I'm getting 90-100 frames on average so it isn't that)

What was the last straw for you guys?

I was playing Zarya and everyone but me and the enemy bastion went down. Was at full charge and self barrier was up. I emptied my entire clip into him at full charge and he just healed through it. I barriered and reloaded and then tried again and he unloaded his entire flip into me and I died.

Fuck this stupid ass shit. Everyone said "Oh it's different, Jeff is in charge he won't fuck you over like they did in Warcraft! They will listen to PTR!" Meanwhile D.Va went live literally broken and Winston's head hitbox is still in his FUCKING SHOULDER when he crouches.

Oh and the icing on the cake is they bitched at us for not playing PTR and giving enough feedback before!

Is bastion really a problem for people? The qp I've done against bastion hasn't proved a huge issue for me as a new zenyatta main. Most bastions are easily psyched put from a nice discord orb. Get a hog to distract him, boop his rein away with a dva charge, a Lucio boop, or pharah boop, discord and let loose while hog snags and scraps him. Had one bastion I just kept discarding and he kept running away to drop my discord, just letting my team push the other 5 back easily without their precious bullet hose.

in tf2, the medic couldnt make a teammate stay alive in a teamfight forever with medigun. his purpose was to heal outside of fights to prepare for pushes.

It's not about the time and this is what low tier players can't seem to understand.

Comp at higher ranks is not something you just casually drop into being it takes way more focus. Ok fine don't over sell it like it's rocket surgery but still it's not a game mode you just play casual like. Maybe that works under 3k, but judging by the shit level records of low tier shitters they too need to play less.

If they want to make it X amount of games for a season then that's fine. I don't want to told I have to play a certain amount over a certain time like some BS f2p game.

If I want to play 15+ rounds one one weekend and then not play comp for 9 days that should be fine. It's a skill rating, not a ladder system. It's stupid to force players into playing Overwatch is now Dirty Bomb and desperate to show numbers in steam or whatever.
