The only thing Beserker can do is combos, and no one with half a brain cell is gonna let you get more than one hit off, even with feints. He's also slow compared to other assassins, has no utility at all, and has piss poor range.

Is deflecting against nu-Valk broken?

I just deflected twice against one as Berserker and both times my guardbreak wasn't countered, but instead it just... fizzled out and did nothing. Like she was spamming lights so fucking fast that it sort of broke my guardbreak, which is supposed to be guaranteed on deflect. She didn't hit me or damage me but the game seemed to spazz out for a moment and just nothing happened. Bullshit I tell you. And her moves are fast as fuck like Christ, but I think I just need to gitgud and get used to fighting Valk more now that she is going to be more popular.

I feel it's the other way around. Anyone who started playing with a Zerker is almost guaranteed to fail with other classes for a long time. Zerks typically way too differently than the other classes and you tend to develop really bad habits because of it.

Both work. Berserker is a class based around praying your opponent has a reactionary guard or attacking second at best, which means two competent players, one a berserker, the best outcome for the zerker is a stalemate.

you either spam uninterruptible attacks like a retard with guard damage maxed or side dodge R1 forever. It's not interesting or fun at high level play, and revolves around taking advantage of low level players from the all skill levels pool.

I see the easiest fix just making it so that if you full block you become prohibited from guard break teching for a little tiny bit after. Right now he can just break out freely. The only cost is his stamina while full blocking when he GETS HIT, which means he just stops full blocking, headbutts you and stabs you guaranteed when you recoil.

Lots of ways. You can start a combo chain and finish it off with a shield bash into sweep, you can cancel a heavy attack with a shield bash into sweep, and you can do the big ram into a sweep, but the charge usually knocks them over anyway so theres not really any point. Valk is all sweeps all the time. You gotta sweep them into your sweep so you have time to set up your sweep.

Try him out against a PK bot or something, press down on the stick whenever you see an attack coming from any direction, then R2 once it hits your shield or just tech if he GBs. You don't have to worry about things like zone mixups at all since you block on all sides, and you get guaranteed damage for them hitting your shield.

I can deal with berserkers and can do moderately well against Orochis, but whenever I'm up against a PK in Duel I just leave. I know I'll spill my spaghetti trying to parry, and get salt everywhere when I inevitably get fucked by light attack variance.

So can anyone explain the changed/reverted guardbreak functionality? I don't clearly understand. All I know is that sometimes it feels like after I swing like the starting frames, my opponent can still guard break me. Then as soon as I see the guard break animation coming I can't even guard break. As a side note, sometimes when I attempt to dodge left or right they "auto track" and guard break me. I know you can't guard break when someone is attacking but what about dodging? I mean it it not necessarily blocking someone?

Warden is the most complete class I think. I wish they would design the majority of the classes with the Warden in mind. Just look at the Raider in comparison. Raider is a Vanguard too, but only has TWO moves on his movelist in combat stance. Basically Raider is like playing Lawbringer on hardmode with your movelist taken away and less health.

I'm sure they'll add more stuff into other classes, but it's easy to see how Raider was basically just an incomplete prototype class.

All's they did was change it so that when two people tried to guardbreak at the same exact time, the person who was 1 millisecond quicker won't have an uncounterable-GB now.

Before if you were slightly slower when you guys GBd at the sametime, you would lose straight out and it was uncounter-GBable. Now you guys are guaranteed to CounterGB each other when both going for it. That's all that changed.

All the characters who have high winrates have high winrates due to a lack of poor matchups, and not because they're obscenely stronger than other characters. Conq is high tier for example, but he's got more debateable if not even-steven matchups than any low tier character like conq or raider, who're almost inarguably at a disadvantage against anything other than themselves or eachother. The bad characters in this game have more faults than the good ones.

You can hold Hidden Stance down until you're ready provided nobody hits you, I dont think it even costs any stamina, and the enemy wont be able to see what direction you're attacking from coming out of it. You have to go straight to your desired direction though and attack immediately though, no rolling the stick along the outside or waiting.
Dodging is incredibly practical since it nullifies the enemy's attack and leaves them open for you to counter with some hard hitting stuff.

The timing isn't much different from a parry, its just less reliable since the areas for the side blocks are so huge compared to the area for hidden stance. If you can pull it off though people will think you're a real badass, like an Assassin who can deflect.

I just wrote the average value on the blue box because I'm too lazy to make a new column. Green is +2, red is -2, etc. I'll make it less ugly eventually.

After actually looking at the averages I feel like I might have rated shugoki low but that might have been because the average is unweighted; realistically having a good matchup against a higher tier character is more valuable than against a lesser one, and that isn't really reflected here. It's also likely I just flat out underrated his ability to play passive.

I also haven't touched LB since the GB patch so I don't know how many of those oranges should turn to reds.

How so? The only way to make sense of people having their deaths reversed is if they aren't dying on their own screen and aren't having their blocks updated fast enough on yours. In my webm the lawbringer didn't even pop revenge or anything. He blocked on his screen and died on mine, the game opted to say his block was what really happened. That's favoring the defender. I'm not complaining, just calling it what it is.
