Well I got a lot done today. I replaced my paths with non-snowy ones, plus laid down some more I didn't have. I also made two new designs for my museum rooms and put them up. I am never using a 9 piece path set again. I can't get anything done when all my design slots are eaten up like that.

I kind of think the opposite would be the most helpful, as in marking areas that are a no fly zone as opposed to saying move in here, but maybe that's just an aesthetic difference. The pattern thing kind of works, but it's a pain in the ass.

Really I hope we get better pattern management in the next games, everyone including the developers understands that we use paths and how much of a pain it is to use said paths. Every guidebook in japan has paths, I would be severely surprised if pathing isn't a feature in the next game.

Honestly I think they should look at what the hackers have been doing and see those are things the community wants the most, we want more control over the placement of objects and more objects to place. Villager interaction needs to be improved too since I can't pass one of my cute animal friends without saying hello and it'd be nice if there was more variation.
Like other anons have said, we need a better way of placing patterns. It'd be good if for a price you could designate areas villagers can move or something, so that people who like the random aspect have it.
Different people play and enjoy AC for different reasons, some like the landscaping and design aspects and some like the villager interactions, no one reason for playing is more valid than another so they should accommodate more playing styles. I want a perfect town and to have the look I want but I also like talking to my villagers. I'd like it if grass wearing/dirt patches and the stone around buildings (or type of stone, as with Nooks Home's renovating options) could be changed. I also just want more PWPs.

Are feathers reorderable in the catalog? I'd like to keep a rainbow one for an accessory, but I also want to give it to pavé

If you get a rainbow feather, you can just save scum with it assuming no Reset Centre/zero fucks given about angry moles trying to tell you to stop resetting. Wile his feather request seems to stick, he'll give away pieces of his set for single rainbow feathers, which not only changes the feather request, but also costs only one feather.
