My opponent thought that he could safely scout with his wood elf lord. With a fast steed on open ground and a ranged focused he could run away from any threat, although using your lord to scout is risky and its always best to bring a couple with you. What he didn't expect, was the peasant yeoman. Of which I had three all scouting. I'm going to try to pin his lord and then spring an ambush on them with literally my entire army. this is a perfect once in a million chance. But I need my peasants to pull through with their scout mission

eventually though he does catch the damsel so i'm forced to commit, on the bright side in the hopes to pin me down he's committed all his infantry to the center.
this gives an opening for some mounted yeomen and some knights to kill his ranged units that were separated from his main infantry core. If he had left a unit of wardancers and eternal guard to protect this would have been harder to do. but he got too commited to the damsel.

I pull out and he retreats to the woods. I'm going to have to lure him out. I'm all melee cav and he's all melee infantry so it might be difficult. He has the advantage. I will use the next few minutes to exhaust my winds of magic by casting wind blast into his blob (though had i waited a bit i might have had some better chances.)

Entrenched in the woods, i decide to surround him. I'll use my magic, and i'll pull some feints to try to distract him until i can get either my heroes or my knights into the flanks of some of his units. I have to be proactive here to gain the initiative and micro the right units to charge the right targets. Its a war of attrition and I have to kill models on the charge otherwise he'll just heal with earthblood.

Finally a chain rout. My knights focus on the foes who are still alive while my yeomen chase down the larger fleeing units to prevent them from returning.

And this will be the end of the battle when I kill his branch wraith and forces his army to flee due to army loses.

I have to say his force was kitted out as a meta pick against the current bretonnia build of either heavy airforce or melee infantry. Also due to the fact that most people on line are afraid of all cavalry armies he probably wasn't expecting such rampant horse fuckery. especially since people seem to be obsessed with infantry for whatever reason.

I have to say, being able to take three lords was good though. And my armies where The one pictured, A lord on hippogryph and two pegasus knight units and a bunch of peasant infantry and bowmen with a lord and damsel both on foot. He had vlad and a strigoi ghoul king.

Kudos to him to try to win with a disadvantage on a siege map, but the quiting in such a way as to force a draw is kinda shitty.

Generally you should be able to crush the secessionists before dealing with the beastie boys. What I do is hire a secondary lord to sit in the village near Bretonnia with a few extra units and that will ward off the beast cucks. You need to conquer Marienburg ASAP because they are not empire citizenry and they are very lucrative.

Currently Eilhart is under siege, there's a secondary army waiting to intercept any relief force, and the secessionist capital is still going strong because I put it on the backburner for a few turns.
