you get most of your options by sprinting at your opponent and being aggressive.
1. you can use your dash and get a free heavy on them
2. if they expect the dash and you think they'll dodge, you can go for a grab into heavy or grab into light into headbutt
3. if you're against someone with a side dodge attack you can cancel the dash then easily parry into a guardbreak
4. if you're not good at parrying you can run at them, let them hit you and GB a split second before the attack hits you. You'll take a hit but you'll get an untechable gb on them

You can play against bots by going to matchmaking and selecting the mode you want.
From there you can tab over from Player vs. Player to Player vs. AI.

In preferences you can also make it so you get no human teammates for maximum farming comfy.

Servers are also fucked right now so that might be the reason your match is softlocked.

Typically, but the thing people forget about it is that you can chain it from anything. Sometimes you can catch people off guard with it, and you can at least feint it to bait parries but overall your better off using it as a zoning tool against assassins

My berserker being dressed in rags even in 108 makes me upset. She deserves better and basically all the shoulder pads (all 2 different kinds) are both rags for sleeves. As for chest armor, you get some decent looking chain mail, rags, bones and rags, rags and some bamboo esque rags.

At least the axe heads and handles look neat i guess.

Feint a lot. Parry a lot. Assassins are fun to fight because you can shoulder feint to bait a side dash attack almost all of the time. You can also cancel the bash into an upper light, or a side attack if they're super slow.

Basically without vortex most of what you have left is the fundamentals of the game.
