You take a copy of botw, unwrap it, and swap the art to make it look like an unrelated game. This way, you avoid having an empty game case laying around or in your bag, which could be suspicious. Additionally, you avoid having to dump the game on-site, which is incredibly suspicious.

How on earth did you get that impression? Its not rocket science why they're doing that with the Wiiu, they want people to buy the switch version, the game is so important to push the console, and the wiiu has a small user base.

The only reason they're still getting a wiiu release is because the bad blood would be immense after promising a Zelda game, since the hardcore nintendo fans bought the wiiu in the first place.

I don't know how you put that together and thought the reason must be because it plays badly, the wiiu is what the game was primarily made for before being taken away, delayed and piggybacked for a switch release window instead.
