It's not legendary because it's a mindblowing VN. It's, at best, a 7/10. But, on 4chan, it's a lot of people's first VN so it has fond memories.

There used to be a general on /b/ - "/ksb/", the older people here will remember this. KS was discussed heavily on /b/ and got a lot of foot traffic from /b/. So, /ksb/ introduced many, many people to VNs that way (myself included). And it's only natural that they migrated to the /ksg/ and /vn/ and such. Not to mention it being made by a group that organized on 4chan, but that's more of a cause than an effect. Anyway, mods started deleting the threads so that ended.

.... So, KS gets high praise on this domain for that reason. Generally, around the rest of the internet, it isn't held in such high regard. Especially since it's made in the USA. It's not a bad VN considering it was privately made for shits and giggles and suffered enormously with staff changes and direction shifts over the years. Not "legendary" in itself. Just in nostalgia. Your first time is always the most potent.

I'm not normally into deredere, but Miyako bordered on yandere territory. Her writing was really amusing and her character was easily a necessary backbone to the overall enjoyment of the game.

The character story arc was lame, but she herself was pretty vital to majikoi's entertainment value. You could take out Wanko, Chris, or Yukie and not lose as much entertainment as you'd lose by taking out Miyako.

Daibanchou's great, it's got a steep as fuck learning curve and it can get pretty tough (unless you're a huge pussy and go to the student council meeting) but the gameplay is super addicting. Good luck finding half the stuff without a walkthrough though.

It is a strategy game, it's fairly similar to Sengoku Rance in a lot of ways, although it has quite a few more management aspects.

I wasn't joking about that walkthrough though, the recruitment methods for half the characters are obscure as fuck and mutually exclusive, and there's multiple ways to to trap yourself in unwinnable situations if you aren't really careful with your resources. And that's not getting into the nightmare that is getting all 120~ H-scenes.

Picture Fate/Zero but if they stopped every hour so that you could jerk off to what Caster is doing and you have a pretty good idea of what Maggot Baits is like. I liked it better than Euphoria but it has a lot of problems. I'd say read it if you're interested in jerking off to it, the plot was good enough and the characters likeable enough to keep me entertained the whole way through, but if you're not interested in the porn and just want a story then don't bother.
