I find myself caught on a situation where the narrative is to be written in past tense, yet the past tense would make the narrative confusing. For example, "This is a technique I use to corrupt a target of mine, inviting them to a world full of manic pleasure... it seemed to be too intense for a virgin like [Redacted]."

If the entire line was written in past tense it would read like it "was" a technique he "used," implicating that the technique is something he no longer uses now. When I was over on /lit/ the basic understanding they gave me was that if it was something that is a constant or something that is still ongoing to what would be the "now" of the story then it is better to keep it present tense.

Sort of like: "I walked away from the explosion without looking at it -- as the rule of cool dictated."
Compared to: "I walked away from the explosion without looking at it -- as the rule of cool dictates."

I went over this awhile back, I think it's called a "tense trap"? It's pretty pesky when having to overlook a lot of the text I've been dealing with, and I don't know if it is something I have to worry over of if it is.

And in cases like euphoria or something the genitals look perfectly fine and even good. And I don't remember them looking particularly offensive in Boob Wars.

It seems like they're looking into optional mosaics from what I saw on their Twitter feed, but personally I never had a problem with bad uncensors because the alternative (a mess of pixels) is just as bad.

Boob wars 2 falls into the decent category. While the penis's themselves don't look good from a realistic standpoint, they match the art style and don't look out of place which I think in BW2's case it's actually better this way since highly detailed genitals would look way out of place in the artstyle it has.

I think Katawa Shoujo could have its adult stuff disabled on the fly. More VNs should allow you to switch between all-ages and 18+ on the fly. But that also means you'd miss the CG as well as the super annoying text.

But, funny enough, Katawa Shoujo was one of the *extreeeeeeeemely* few VNs that got off their asses and wrote out the sex scenes using complete thoughts and sentences, with no "chuchuchuchcu" and shit. They were written beautifully. Even though they added nothing to the lore, they were still worth reading because they told part of the story of the couple's relationship and intimate moments. They ramped up the lovey-dovey to the max without having virgins cum 12 times on their first go.

I really wish someone, anyone, would take a hint and get that trend going.

There are too many aspects of the story about the texts that don't line up. The timing of the texts was wrong. and ... I can't say anything else with spoiling it. Yes. There's a spinning wheel when you go into Aoi's chapter, but I think there's just a jump straight to the true route without any real hint after Aoi's is wrapped up (someone correct me on this).
