Just thought of something super silly.

Let's say you have a 4* Gordin with Vantage, neutral or -speed ivs, and brave bow. you are fighting 5* +atk Takumi.

Turn 1: Attack Takumi with Gordin. +atk Takumi has 49 attack vs. Gordin's 29 defense, but will also double Gordin. So in total that means Gordin loses 40 out of his 43-46 HP.

Gordin has 41 attack vs. Takumi's 25 defense, meaning he deals 16 damage x 2 (due to brave bow) for 32 damage total out of Takumi's 40 HP.

Turn 2: Since Gordin's HP is now 3-6 out of 43-46, vantage triggers when Takumi's AI tries to kill. Gordin then slays Takumi.

Would probably require some positioning but I wonder if Gordin is a reliable counter to +atk taco.

Since Takumi can't one round ko, I think gordin beats him with brave bow if Takumi attacks first as well. So that allows you to move somebody to protect gordin on stages like gay bridges.

I guess the caveat is if he has attack buffs, because +3 attack on Taco is basically +6 more damage since he's doubling gordin. Interestingly though, if Gordin has rally attack himself I actually think he outright orkos Takumi without taking any damage due to brave bow. Rally defense would also save Gordin from +atk, attack buffed Taco.

You either do 65 effective physical damage, or 58 effective magical. Cecilia does it on a +Atk nature, Lilina and Kagerou can with an attack buff, I'm pretty sure Camilla can manage with a skill proc ready. Also Nino, because Nino.

Damn it, the IV calculator's numbers are wrong too. Gordin would have to be 5* to be able to ORKO Takumi with the attack buff. That sucks. At least it's a thing though.

I think Setsuna can ORKO taco without taking damage as well if she's +attack and has an attack buff.

Thanks man. I have Lilina and +Atk Cecilia, so that's pretty interesting. I kinda wanna try them out now. My Cecilia is a 3* though so that would be a heavy feather investment over a long time.

I thought I got blessed with nino but I think I got shafted instead. she's +atk, -hp. In hindsight, +spd is so much better and -hp actually puts her JUST within range of dying to +atk takumi. I would have far preferred -res.

Gordin counters full-on glass cannons, especially those that rely on high speed, and usually mages since they tend to have low defense and health. Takumi isn't so especialized.

Of all the flavor female hate in these threads, the only one I really agreed with was Micaiah. I wanted to like Micaiah so bad but she goes full fucking retard later on in the game. They also go way overboard with making her a Mary Sue. Chapter 1 Micaiah where it's just her and the Dawn Brigade was fine, but afterwards she's just obnoxious.

I actually quite like Tharja and Camilla. I don't have a problem with Azura either. I just thought the plot of Fates overall was retarded. I found Garon to be much more obnoxious (though hilarious admittedly).

I don't think most people in these threads hate Camilla. They just think she's bad in FEH...which for the most part she is. Even then, with good IVs she is not completely useless. Hell, Minerva and Narcian are probably worse. It pains me to say that because I like both characters better personally.

I was equally pissed off by the bullshit with Yune and Ashera though.

Radiant Dawn actually could have been amazing if it had gone with a similar idea as what they did with Fates. If you could choose whether you wanted to side with the Dawn Brigade or with the Greil Mercenaries, and then fought against the other side, it could have been a great story. The parts of RD which I enjoyed the most were the levels which made that happen, as well as the one where Elincia fights some huge rebel army.
