I don't know about NEVER nerfing roach, it's just probably a lot more complicated of a card to nerf without making it useless or extremely janky (e.g. making it a 0/1). Gobu was a much simpler target since it's a card that's prone to making inconsistent decks very consistent, which is a much larger overarching meta problem than a single combo piece.

Why do people pretend Khawy is good?

There's no good situation to play it against control. If you play it when they have no board, they can just use removal and you've wasted a turn. If you play it when they have a board, you get Odin'd and lose. Plus it's completely useless against haven and dirt.

Your solution is extremely inelegant, the card can be fixed without having to completely rework the card and specifically destroying the reason that it is *currently* powerful. There's no reason to destroy a card just because it's the centerpiece of a powerful deck, there's a reason Cygames is smart and didn't butcher Otohime outright when they can just as easily add more cards that indirectly cut the power of other cards.

This is a card game. You aren't supposed to be able to pull your combo CONSISTENTLY close to every game. It is supposed to be up to card draw luck.
Literally not one thing changed about Roach being able to shit out 20 damage in a turn. Not one damage value got changed about Roach. The combo still is the exact same it's always been. What's changed is that it actually has to rely on card draw (like everybody fucking else) to draw the cards needed for its combo. It's consistency changed, not raw strength.

I just don't like the fact that the card is an OTK.

Nothing wrong with it being a staple for the class, like albert for sword or forte for dragon. But at least 10 damage with no other cards able to be played on that turn or 7 damage that's easy to kill is reasonable. 20 damage that can't be stopped, only slowed down is kind of bullshit to me. I dislike dimensional shift as well but thankfully it's not run in every rune deck.
