Most guys I know that only play Guilty Gear are shit at BlazBlue and myself being a BB player, had to adjust my flow to play GG and Nitroplus.


But if you're looking for an easy airdasher that teaches you the basics of games with them and is forgiving, try out Nitroplus Blasterz. A baby could play it. Only problem is finding matches. BlazBlue is a fast-paced game with a massive cast whom all have very specific things that makes them standout, and an entire mechanic centered around exactly that. I'd say the main appealing points of it is the extreme variety in combos since you can optimize them to very precise degrees to make sure you always have something to practice, and the depth in matchups because of the previously mentioned variation.

Guilty Gear is fast but generally less so than BlazBlue I would say. It's more footsie-based, but also has a very strong vortex game because of the lack of variable wakeup timings, and the very ambigous setups the opponent. The combos are shorter and priortize just getting a knockdown and going from there to get more damage.

Melty I don't know too much about myself to elaborate on but I'm sure Brick can explain if you ask.

BB and GG have around the same online population, with the difference being that GG is also on PC (no crossplay). BB seems to becoming to PC soon as well though since the files have been found on on Steamspy or whatever. Melty has a smaller playerbase, but the netcode is genuinely the best in fighting games, so distance matters less in that game, so you own't have a hard time finding matches regardless.

Can I get some advice for getting good at Third Strike on Fightcade?
More than just "learn2parry", I mean.
I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to read my inputs consistently. I play Remy and I can get fireballs and flash kicks like 90% of the time, but double quater circles are real rough. I don't have this issue in SFV, BBCF, GGXRD, UNIEL, P4A, etc. Just this game.

Also, is Blue Nocturne as utterly useless as it seems? I can't think of a single situation in which Rising Rage Flash wouldn't be just as good.
