man, watching the tournament this weekend was really a let down. It all came down to card draw. Did you get Reno? Did you draw Patches? Did you draw Hellfire? Did you draw Fiery War Axe? At least I didn't have to watch many shamans, and the reno mirrors were occasionally interesting.

But man, the world championship last fall was way more interesting to watch. Maybe it also all boiled down to card draw, but these turn 5 concedes just really hit home how little skill can be involved in winning.

There's no reason to ban Azure Drake just because it's used. It doesn't define the meta decks, it's just a splash in. The rest of the cards you listed make sense because without them, certain decks we see every day can't exist. But if Azure Drake's out, we see the same lists with just a sub-out.

Arena draft, first pick, Warlock.

Gruul, Sir Finley, Malygos.

What do you pick and why? I can see merit to each one. I'm no arena pro (read: I never, ever play it and am just having fun), so I really have no idea. HearthArena recommends Gruul by a decent margin but I'm not so sure I agree with it.

I figure Finley has most of his value simply in the 1/3 body he provides. Picking up mage ping might be nice, but I'd really generally prefer the Tap almost always.
Gruul is just a big guy, which can be nice as a late game tempo play, but I fear that if we remove his mask, it will kill him.

Malygos also strikes me as something that would primarily be useful for its body late game, but I imagine that the spell effect could be further enhanced were I to grab a soulfire or something off a peddler or in my draft--I figure in arena he's much more likely to potentially stick a turn or two, and if I can proc his +5 even just once, chances are it will be devastating.

Thoughts?

Aggro is not inherently the most skill based archetype. Aggro shaman might be the most skill intensive meta deck right now, though. On average I could say "combo" decks tend to be the hardest because more often then not they can't just throw cards like pirate warrior or dragon priest and have to adhere to a strict win condition

There are a lot more diamonds in existence than there are in circulation, the diamond cartels just keep the bulk out of circulation to keep the price high

The same is true for cards, really you could print as many of any card as you had paper and ink for, but the jew cartels don't because artificial scarcity drives up prices.

I suck at deck building, how do I make this work better without gutting the deck's theme of taunts, deathrattles and heals?

It happens often enough for it to be a problem for me to end with a handful of 6+ mana costs at turn 3, and I can't dump my hand fast enough to even cast a Lay on Hands.
