Feena tutor's a 0 cost goblin mage which tutors roaches
They have wolf who has rush which means you can play him on curve to have a 0 cost homecoming for t9/10 guaranteed kill regardless of ward boards
It gets stronger with everything you do that turn to be able to do upwards of 20 damage from hand.

I actually kinda feel sorry for the guy that lost. Obvious that his opponent didn't know how to play Elf at all and only won because he got godlike draws. That's how card games go I guess.

I don't think the damage of the combo is the problem. Just the fact that you can easily fetch it out of your deck with goblin mage and boost its damage to lethal amounts with as few as 6pp. Increasing its pp solves both problems in 1 fell swoop, while compensating to make sure the damage stays intact. Requiring lionel is gross over-nerf.

You just build the deck around doing small chip damage instead so you don't "need" to do 20, it's the same thing as d shift and one build the deck already does this with its aggro oriented package. Having to cut Tia to do more chip would be fair and would stop the deck from being strong against both aggro and control decks.

Using Lionel is fine for making a 0 cost if you're cutting out Gobu and Feena, or else they'd just add more burn to the deck. Doing that would make their damage be more explosive but less consistent and the loss of tempo from having to play Lionel would justify the strength of the combo. Look at d shift which has to spend turns on sorcery cache as an example of a low tempo card that helps facilitate their combo.

This is ignoring the fact that you can also play zero-cost cards to further boost this to obscene levels. If roach was nerfed to a 3pp 1/1 you might as well just use wolfbolt combo at that point. By nerfing the pp cost you actually end up nerfing the damage as well as the consistency of drawing the roach combo. Not to mention delay the turn that you can combo.

People are beyond deludedif you think Cygames doesn't know how broken Elf and Witch are. Even the class that's been hot on their heels every format, Royal, would have been unplayable this format if they didn't print a card as busted as Albert, and even then this overpowered at times 3rd best class in the game is struggling to maintain 50% going second, which is beyond busted in this game and automatically adds 5%+ winrate to any class.

60% win rate is as broken as decks fucking get in CCGs, and here we have a class that almost reached 70% winrate, and people STILL DEFENDED IT WHEN IT GOT LIGHT TAP NERFED. Forest has never, ever, EVER, fucking dropped out of tier 1, for 1 fucking meta. It's the only class nerfed twice in a row outside beta, and yet, it's the only fucking class that refuses to be tier 2 for at least 1 meta. Elf faggots WILL STILL defend this fucking class no matter what evidence or statistics pile up. Ancient Elf and Roach are broken, no, not "good", not "really good", they're broken by design, intentionally, they're deliberately overpowered to push the class into the position it occupied for literally the ENTIRE span of the game's lifespan. This class is the poster child of a dev pet class/character in a video games. All promotional material is Elf and Witch, all formats end up dominated by Elf and Witch, every fucking tournament win includes Elf or Witch in the line up.

Control Sword needs to be the aggressor in everything other than the aggro/otk roach matchups. Even against otk roach it helps though if you use Albert early to pressure them to waste resources.

My winrate went up drastically when I started just using Albert as early game removal and even wasting an evolve on him so that they'd waste theirs back if I thought it'd make him a lot harder to remove or if I had Alvida's in hand.

Simalacrums win games in dragon and forest. Athena is a tech to maintain your board in any tempo during a trade and reina gives huge buffs in shit like banner and other flooders turning an I can take it into a lethal. Angel crusher is just a couple more when discarded effect cards from being a powerhouse removal sucker.

Off curve fencers and gemstone go a long way. Off curve noble lets you clear the board for a pittance. Titiania's lets you exchange some momentum following a removal for 3/3 rush from then out while slamming out treants, giant, gigas, fairy beast, and tia's. Dropping some simalacrums once regains that investment and they just can't match your output.

Playing banner and light on curve give you huge pressure as you barf 2/1 storms like hotcakes

Secrets is good both as cheap removal, a good follower, and hits through target resistance , caprice will always be good as a cannot be targetted tech as there are more and more every expansion/ Conj force decks are going to hit tier 2 once they round out a little more which also brings dragonbond mage back in as it forces a 2-way threat between guardian golems and itself that have to be answered. Anne will win you games between her pressure and boosting grea's double attack while maintaining a board presence and pressure. -

Shapeshift's a solid off-curve pseudo-ward that sets up split threats and 12 dmg urds. Deathmist sucks removal to clear the way for your win cons or is helping pendants and your other damages kill for value. Polyphonic is regularly rampable at t6-7 which is early enough to still take off with in addition to flute/spire being poised to become a legitimate force as dragon's ramp/card pool is improved. Grea/Hydra's part of a split threat with a leviathan/simalacrums that forces rush/storm/board clear or ~8-20 face next turn and often 7-10+ the turn after they answer. Zirnitra is good in midrange dragon and olivia lets you keep trucking.

Ghoul's banquet is cheap and helps with faster atomy's. There's so many more cheap/board flooders that you can atomy up to 9 times all along your curve at great value for your win con to stick cause they had to remove or die all the way out. He's not a win con, he's the guy that paves the way for it but applying cheap pressure all the way while you shit out ghost storms and destroy/shit out liches with every summon. Wight king's a solid general card. Ceridwen's a solid general card. Pluto's great until you have your odins

Executioner's axe lets you give medusa rush to get good value out of her

Love's gospel is great now in haven lists. eido-eskullfam count havencraft with chorus/devourer are on the way in with just a few more cards. You can pop a holy sentinel on/ahead of curve stopping them cold or sucking evo/removal out of them for only 2pp. Haven's gotten a good way along on being able to field boards of very durable target immune followers and valhallan/kaguya/jeanne/incandescent (blessed be its bricky soul)/laelia help you get more out of it.
