The new FFVII mobius cards seem kinda meh but I'd like to take a shot at Great Gospel. Should I just take shots through 3* summon or just go with the Greater Summon? The fine print makes it sound like Greater might be better.

As an aside, can Knight carry me for the forseeable future or should I roll for a second job? I'm about 100 magicite away from the mobius box and near the end of chapter 3 in the story mode

Don't even bother hoping for Great Gospel. It's like hitting the jackpot. You don't need it. As for Knight, since we'll have Masamune X soon, you may be able to out-tank everything if you have the right deck, but I'm not speaking from experience, only second hand knowledge.

I personally would want at least one job from each job type, just so I don't ever have to use the onion/apprentice/neophyte variants.

Knight is fine. You can do everythign with it, if you like going slow.

Pull for another job when you max it out and get bored. There's lots of ways to play the game and the nice thing about this game is that the different jobs all force you to play differently. I like my dancer for the consistency and crit-fishing for constant orbs, but love my Warrior for the high-damage Fire drops and good all-around combat stats, like a very aggressive knight that doesn't have as much defense.

If you were saving Lapis and Tickets for when they actually matter, you'd have tons of units.

If you spent them all when the game started and kept pulling the same shitty units like Lanis, Shadows, Kriles, Cyans, etc expecting something good, then that's on you.

Playing from November, I did use a few of my ticket stash on getting Ling and a few of the Valentine TMRs, I still have 20k Lapis and 80 Tickets right now and have too much to farm, See >>168766372

They could've chosen a fake brand and made it a little cute side quest. Wouldn't take much effort. But instead they made it a specific brand that actually exists so they could make money at the expense of bringing you out of the game.

Also its not just a quest. That giant fucking cart is always there and the characters mention it multiple times.

If they had made it a fake brand, it would add that nice little touch in the same way that Final Fantasy 7 had all those little miscellaneous shops and posters.
It would bring you further into the world.

Ironically, it might even help Nissin a bit considering how ubiquitous they are and how anything that makes you think of instant ramen in a cup makes you think Cup Noodle.
I mean to be clear, I definitely don't think Nissin would pay for something that subtle, just saying...

It depends on what you want to do up front.

FFRK is pretty easy to play casually over time, if you log in and play one mission a day you'll do all right, but you HAVE to get a bunch of items to do late-game, you need to find one of the meta builds or else you're just fucked. Especlially lately.

FFBE normally isn't too casual, UNLESS you reroll at the beginning to start with a very strong party. Then you can play through the content gradually, unless you get really into it and decide that you're gonna get some of the more difficult achievements.

Mobius FF is probably a middle ground, it's very easy to hit the 'required' power level with almost any build you want - You can beat the entire game with any pulled job class if you aren't an idiot - And lots of things transfer, making the grind easier as you go along (Healing cards are useful on every character class, for example). However, there's also insane levels of power, such as spending money to get ahold of cards like Minwu for Ultima or the new Aerith's Great Gospel which is fucking broken as shit.

I feel like all of them have a good way of rewarding you for your effort, if you want to put the effort in, but at the same time if all you want to do is tap and get points and have fun they're all fine depending on how you want to play. They all appeal to very different gamers.

LV25 Sacred Guard with Cecil for mitigation, with some provoke here and there.

Healing Waters with Prim to heal since it doesn't count as white magic (She also refreshed her imperil fire spell so I could keep maximum damage output with fire spells)

I brought CoD to get rid of Paralyze but that's all she did, she ended up being dead weight as far as DPT goes

Exdeath dual cast Fira and Ace Wild Card with Diablos Man eater stacked for damage.

Support: Noctis for Thunder Flask to reduce SPR, and Fire for status and chains, I threw a Cover here and there to help with healing.

Cecil died at the end because all the damage got focused on him, but it was the last turn, it's not worth wasting the NRG for 10 lapis

Are you keeping Cover up on top of Healing Waters? The regen makes a big difference.
Sacred Guard Should be up most of the time as well, I don't think there was a moment where the buffs were down at all (I gave Cecil two Jack TMs to make sure he'd get enough crystals)

Even with the LB difference, you should be able to do it.
Ace was dual wielding to trigger Wild Card twice, by the way.

You have to get through that physical resist and those tons of HP and the suicide mines. Even hybrid damage from Noctis gets reduced since it is part physical.

It's just not worth it to bring a physical team unless you have Noctis and Ling and WW Fina for MP restoration.

You need Magic Damage and lots of it. Exdeath only had about 380 Mag, Emperor at a little over 500, and a Friend Dark Fina that had around 600+.

If you have an ability healer, use them, aka Primm or Luka. Noctis and Ling have ability revives, but even Primms heal should be able to outheal the damage he pumps out with a proper tank.

Speaking of, bring a Tank. Besides Sweep, everything he does is single target, so a Cecil soaking up all those hits will keep everyone else safe, and mostly just have to worry about Sweep, which he does at most once a turn when he chooses to do it.

Bring items. If you have no heals like I did, making sure Cecil stays at a high enough HP through Elixir use is important. Units like Noctis and Ling can revive dead allies through Abilities.

Used Rain to Buff the team. Used Ling to debuff SPR to all enemies and revive.

Dark Fina is fine, you might need tons of ethers since she uses so much MP.
Ace's Wild Card is cheap, procs twice due to dual wield and stacks with killers so he never went below 80%MP, his LB also stacks with killers so that helped.

If you have AOE debuffers like Ling, go for Luka, if you don't Noctis can rotate Thunder Flask, Cover and revive whenever is needed.

Some people have cleared it with physical teams, usually attacks that ignore DEF like Divider do some "respectable" damage, but as a self imposed challenge it's nor worth it

Provoke must be up at all times on Cecil, and then just guarding every other turn. The boss has only one single AOE in Sweep, and other than that can freely pound on Cecil. I haven't seen him use sweep more than once every 3 turns or so myself, so his single target abilities should mostly be hitting Cecil. When Luka's heal isn't enough to offset the pounding Cecil is receiving, throw an elixir on him.

I'd say more magic users as well as a SPR debuff of some sort, but if your half physical team is working for you, then that's fine, just make sure Cecil's provoke is up.

Well I figured it out. You need to enable game center for 1 free ticket, you get 1 ticket from the event, then you get 2 from day break. With 4 tickets+1000 magicite you get one GAS.
