Reminder that DS ROM loading from SD was not worth waiting for

Followed the a9lh + Luma guide, and everything seemed to go well.

I can't boot into Luma3DS though, system settings always shows I'm in sysnand. I tried switching between autoboot sysnand in luma settings but it doesn't seem to change anything (even when holding L). I was on 11.2 then updated to 11.3 after I had set up everything. Luma version is 6.6

Anyone know why it keeps booting sysnand?

I think that the main issue is that with 25.9 of free space will be gone with 2 digital games like zelda and xeno 2 and that's not counting dlc + updates. Forcing you to spend even more money to expand that systems memory. It may be a "standard" for tablets but this isnt just you regular tablet, is a home console hybrid that runs actual games and can demand a lot of space.

Yes retail can be an option but most people just want to buy thing digitally because is easier and more convenient. Is not the same paying 300 + 60 for game while adding tax that paying 300 + 60 + 40+ on memory card and tax. This is not even mentioning accessories. Also digital games can be better for the simple fact that it doesn't include tax

I'm in two frames on mind. 32gb is pretty shit for a home console but at the same time was perfectly enough for my Wii U, where I still had free space until piracy became a big thing.
On the portable side the 3DS and Vita come with tiny amounts of storage space that require you to buy a new SD/Memory card if you're serious about digital so I don't see how the Switch is any different.
It all comes down to if Nintendo plan to keep updates and DLC to a minimum like with Wii U or go full AAA bullshit and start releasing unfinished games in the future.

So I have a9l and luma, just finished a system update because apparently it is safe to do so, but after the update finished, it turned to black screen and never managed to reboot.
Since then even if I turn it on, only the blue light is visible but nothing on the screen ever. If I remove the SD card, it doesn't even turn on.

I bought my Acekard years before 3DS came out. It was just a shoddily made piece of junk that broke after two days that I've been using in this state ever since. It works nice when it works at all, but it's got bad connections that cause a game to freeze or crash at times, and I have to cram a piece of paper into the cartridge slot to get this much out of it.

Can't get the MHXX demo to launch for some reason. I have the latest version of luma and the region and language set to JP for MHXX. It still just hangs on the Nintendo 3DS screen when I boot the game.

So I dumped a bunch of my physical Wii U games and installed them to my HDD via WUP, and now when I launch them it says the game needs an update (even though it was updated before i dumped it).

If your updates are on your nand and your gamedata is on your hdd you have a problem, purge all your updates and redownload them. you should be fine lowering your dns blockade for a little while, as long as you put it back after.

I'm actually sure if those items were QR scans in JP or simple online login fuctionality ala mobage stuff. Either way I can link you the item lists with what is locked behind the online/qr/whatever that lock is. Problem is those lists are in Japanese, just saying.

As for QR, yeah I guess they really didn't want us to have that funcionality. Wouldn't be surprised if they simply did the game translation in-house and then gave the entire source to NoA to censor and butcher it.

yes you have multiple options. hans, ntr and luma allow you to do this.
in all cases you need to extract a game to look up the files you want to override.
just google a bit its fairly easy but each method isnt interchangable.
ntr is the easiest to do. lumas solution is much more versatile and faster though.

Is anyone here a dev that can help me?

I'm trying to use the new SDL port for 3DS, but I don't think I've compiled the libraries right.
I've installed the 3DS portlibs into devkitpro/portlibs/armv6k, downloaded the SDL_ttf, SDL_image, ect sources and ran the makefiles included with the 3DS SDL download.
They compile and I put them into the portlibs folder.

But then when I try to compile the game (Abbaye Des Morts), I get like, 100 messages like:
SDL_ttf.c:593: undefined reference to 'FT_Load_Glyph'

Does anyone know what the issue might be?
