For shits and giggles this is what it looks like with perfect rolled gear and a legacy voidheart.

PathOfBuilding dps calculator is somewhat worthless, as all dps calculators are to be honest, no doubt BF can shit out obscene dps with the proper min-maxed gear but this assumes perfect channeling from the player, no interruption whatsoever, etc. In reality, map mods, boss resistances, manual dodging, player mistakes etc. will severely impact "effective" dps. It puts you in the perfect scenario and ignores all the variables surrounding the player. The realistic scenario rarely involves you holding right click against a dummy, even with VP.

1. The live vs es issue and what do they plan to do with it, and if their original vision for what es should be has changed now with all the flasks and ascendancy-related es buffs.

24 challenges is piss easy since you can outright avoid challenges that require a somewhat deep progress into the atlas so all you really need is something that grinds shit tier maps fast for currency and encounters and can hit level 90 decently fast (2-3 days tops)

self-cast flameblast elementalist would be my pick for a zero budget build that starts strong and rapes maps

stack cast speed and nothing else (since you're on shitcore), make sure your 10-stack channel is less than 1s then go wild since the seldom reflect rare is not an issue

dual wield those maraketh wands with a cast speed implicit, cast speed essences on them, and grab the entire dark arts cluster

it's shitcore and it's 24 challenges, you don't need something fancy

No characters will be deleted, I'm not sure why you would think that. No quests will be mandatory, but the story will canonically consider you've completed them by the time you reach Part 2. You can still probably come back to the earlier acts to complete them for the respec points, not sure how they'll work that out.

There will be 2 events applying -30% all resistances tied to lore events happening in Act 6 and onwards. No details disclosed until beta, probably.

I wanna theorycraft/test a new build before 2.6. so I wanted to pitch it here first:

Templar, Inqusitor
Maces+Shield
Damage: Elemental Equilibrium, Herald of Ash, Static Strike, Vortex
Static Strike deals its damage after the strike hit (0,75s) so when the lighting damage hits, it deals damage to already weakened enemies vulnerable to Lightning. Vortex doesn't cause hits so it doesnt trigger EE.
Initiation would be with either Leap Slam or Shield Charge.
I'd probably focus on increasing cold damage and only use the other two as a way to set up EE.
Defense would be mainly armor+life, but if I decide to go for Righteous Fire I'd probably build up some ES too.

Any infos, remarks? My one criteria for this build is that I can build it as I level.

1) inquisitor + attack-based build is a bad idea because it commits you to crit which means you can't pick RT which means you need crit and accuracy, which means your tree is spread thin

by nature this makes this a VERY noob unfriendly spec from the get go and one that is going to be hard to gear and scale. and you pick a dogshit skill like SS, elemental BF you might get away with, but not a true melee skill like SS, let's be real or a second here

2) EE is useless and your naive idea of alternating between your main attack and vortex is highly unpractical
HoA scales off your phys base damage, but is never used in ele builds because you get much better options (either herald, Anger, Wrath)

if you want to take an elaborate tactical approach to killing trash, then by all means build around EE

3) "Defense would be mainly armor+life"
won't be enough as true melee, you have nothing defensively a juggernaut or a slayer or a gladiator or a champion would get, you get some reduced elemental damage taken and that's it, good luck with that in anything higher than t5

what you want is LEECH and thus VP and thus CI

Are chayula breaches entirely chaos damage? I'm asking because I want to decide on a setup before trying it
I have 3 possibilities:

>replace one of my rings with a perfect rolled ming's heart I have, ending up with 7.4k HP, 51% chaos res, but only 43% cold and 51% lightning resistances

t b h VP isn't an issue with life. health pools are generally small enough that you still have to worry about dying. with VP+CI+GR you've got enough ES to just facetank everything. can't do that with life.

Not necessarily, because there's still the cost involved with getting leech and sufficient damage. It's a multi faceted issue because players abuse things like Berserker's 100% damage LL on savage hit, or Vinktar with its ridiculous 20% lightning damage LL coupled with VP. If it were just a bunch of glass cannons going full damage + VP, it should be a viable (although cheesy) form of defense.

I don't mind CI tanking a shaper slams all that much because when they do they have to react, disengage or in some way adapt to being inches from death. Ideally. Current VP means that if you live you have 100% life/es before you even realise what happened.
I'll concede that Zo can reach absurd regen numbers where tanking a slam doesn't promt the play to react at all but at least regen is less all or nothing like instant leech is.
I suppose if bosses can be changed by GGG to slam you and give you a 80% less regen debuf for 2 seconds they can do the same but with a 80% less leech debuff instead so it might not really be that diff of a matter to try and balance.

Are people seriously considering Breach as a leaguestone? It's not going to be good in SSFHC for the very reasons I mentioned rofl, good luck gathering 100 splinters of each for 50% chance of getting a single unique you will not find useful 66% of the time.

Anyone made a checklist of "fast to acquire" strong league items you should try to pick up in the legacy league? Like even the lower tier talismans are insanely powerful compared to normal rare amulets. I'm not sure there even are other items than talismans though.
