Starting on Friday, March 3, the Legacy Challenge League will begin. Challenge Leagues are competitive server resets (similar to seasons in Diablo 3) where players race to the highest character levels and unlock various achievements.

As this will coexist with the beta release of The Fall of Oriath, it’s meant to celebrate the past content of the game. First off, there will be the option to combine up to 3 of the properties from the previous 17 Challenge Leagues together. Additionally, items that were previously league exclusive will drop during the Legacy League, which means new players will have a chance of obtaining powerful items that aren’t available anymore.

The Legacy Challenge League celebrates the history of Path of Exile, giving you access to the 17 previous challenge leagues and old items that have long been unavailable. You’ll collect League Stones in the regular game, and each stone will have a specific league tied to it. Using a special screen within the game, you can set up to 3 of these stones active. That means all of the leagues you’ve set as active will be experienced at the same time. Insanely difficult? Yes. Amazingly rewarding? Of course.

The League Stones will also have unique stats tied to them. For instance, you could receive a Breach Challenge League Stone that will allow you to find extra breaches. As per usual, these League Stones can be traded with other players, and their value will be heavily determined by which league they’re tied to and how powerful the unique stats are.

Previously this made balancing a nightmare because players would eat 10 fireballs in the face and receive 10 times the damage they do now, or they would link their Incinerate with GMP and deal 20 times the damage they do now at point blank range. I think blasphemy curses were a mistake, a step in the casualization of the game. That's either a fair or unfair statement to make, that I would have to defend. But at the same time, I would have to analyze the repercussions of the implementation and how easily most builds can use that tool. It's reasonably balanced at 35% mana reservation, and not every build can use it.

To put myself in the situation where I not only use a specific tool, but try to generalize it as if it is the symptom of a general disease affecting the entire game is idiotic.
Making a statement on the pace of the game while purposely slowing myself down makes no sense at all. Making a statement on the powercreep of players while purposely avoiding map mods that would counter my build makes no sense at all.

When judging the state of the game, I would use as a baseline things that any build can use: including a quicksilver flask (obtainable at level 1 from the first quest of the game) or a movement skill (obtainable at level 10). Maybe there's a new way to use flasks that breaks the game (Pathfinder) and that would need a nerf, but that doesn't mean flask as a whole are broken, yeah? Project poopoo makes no such distinction in his "criticism", it's a blanket "THIS IS SHIT AND I DONT LIKE IT" with zero objectivity and bias, and thus he couldn't and can't be taken seriously.

yes they added lockstep mode, which eliminates desync problem as you simply can't desync when your client shows you raw uncompensated data received from the server, desync in this case is simply impossible.

however, lockstep mode comes with a drawback, and that is all your actions have a delay equal to your latency, or in other words you are basically playing with a massive input lag, bigger from vsync, and in some cases if your ping is over 100 which isnt that unusual it becomes a pain in the ass.

In these case people would opt to use a predictive mode, something GGG actually recommends. But here is caveat, you will desync in predictive constantly, even if the connection between your 100000Gb/s ISP and GGG 2$ server magically stays intact without a single drop for the whole time, because predictive is shit, its ridden with desync beyond acceptable level, because its a poor written lag compensation method and GGG trashed it and threw in lockstep for people who live close enough to GGG servers or are simply tech illiterate and casual to not notice a massive 100-200ms delay to all their actions, of which there are majority because as you see, they ate it all up and praised GGG for their marvelous technical skills.

Crafting options cost chaos/regal/blessed/divine/exalted orbs, most of which can be obtained by playing the game, chaos/regal/blesses/divine/exalt vendor recipes, or via exchange from Cadiro
Navali and Cadiro sell hideout decorations, and in case of navali - she sells (opn top of the one she gives) prophecies, Cadiro sells unique items and currency (as well as daily deal via daily mission).

Perandus League was quite generous to me: two Tabulas (one from Cadiro in the beginning of A3N), bunch of warbands uniques, Shadows and Dust, Soultaker with a very good roll, Mortal Hope that got me 2 exalts at the very beginning, Quillrain. Bought two Kaom's Heart armors for dirt cheap and heaps of other things. Cadiro needs to be a Master and sell decorations, uniques and have a daily deal+mission. Not to mention, Prospero.

Sword and Board Gladiator. - cheap, good survivability and dmg based on the weapon/skills you are using - Claw/Dagger/Sword - Bladeflurry; Hammer/Axe - Earthquake.

Have over 4.5k life and max block/spellblock and you are sorted, considering that enemies will be exploding from bleeding if you go for Gratuitous Violence.

Or dual Obliteration Blade Vortex Berserker - life or ES with Ghost Reaver and Vaal Pact. - relatively cheap, quite fun, damn good with leech.
