note two things: you can hop into multiplayer soon after finishing situations, just expect to fuck up a lot, for multiple raesons. as long as you play to learn and not to blame, you will learn the game.
second thing: casual has no matchmaking. diamonds (top rank) can be matched with coppers (bottom rank) on a whim. there is 0 hidden-mmr based matchmaking in casual.

It might be hard to get into at this point, but be patient with it. Play casual matches, the situations and terrorist hunt and then jump into ranked as soon as you can. Why? Because once you suffer through the placement matches, you get a rank fit for your skill level and mostly get matched against people of similar skill.
Also do NOT get any starter edition or whatever. Just the full game. Season pass 1 was well worth it at the time, second one will be too, but only if you end up liking the game and see yourself playing it for the entire second year. So don't buy any passes just yet, just get the base game and see how you like it.

Happens on console so fucking often. People pick YT/Twitch meme operators, I see level 11's picking twitch and furiously searching for the ENTIRE ROUND for the cameras to take them out while we fight, capture and win.

Or sledge's that don't sledge, sledge should never break out a window with bashes man. Sledges that walk away from castle armor panels, rooks that don't put down armor packs (less common but exist), what's the worst is when multiple new players get on together, and TK or votekick you.

I got shot by some baddy who believed after castling us in, that I fucked him by removing the panel, and refused to believe me when I told him they come back when a teammate removes them normally. Afterwards his friends TKed me, tbagged me, then votekicked me.

What's some of the best headgear for each operators? Things like sledge's "Scythe" or pulse's "Blind"

A gadget kind of like fuzes, where you can attach it to non reinforced walls, except it actually becomes like a remote camera gun. So you plop it in the wall and can use it for recon, but alao have a limited number of pistol style shots.

Well, first off unlike bucks it takes time to swap to it which is far more important than you realize, secondly the shotgun does not reliably create holes and those it does are smaller than pre buff shotgun holes. It's alright for hatches and great for shooting people but as a utility shotgun it's garbage, I honestly think it should've been garbage damage and fantastic utility.

Anything lighting related will never happen. First, it fucks with the whole day/night cycle dynamic they're clearly huge fans of. Second is that the entire lighting system is baked in to the engine and you can't really do anything to it unless you strip everything down and rebuild. And that's literally impossible two years in.

What about a defense OP that can create illusions of his teammates with simple patrol routes. He or She'd have a dinky little projector as the gadget. It's downside would be attacker drones could scan these projections for real ID's so he should choose carefully.

So, the code for placing deployables with a facing direction is clearly in the game. Tachanka's turret being the primary example.

Would it really be that hard to allow Kapkan's traps to be deployable on walls/windows as they currently are, but give them the ability to be placed NOT on them? Mount it to the floor, with the laser facing the direction that you're looking when it's placed? It'd be a useful buff, without being too crazy.

Grenade launchers would be very tough to balance properly.

I've thought of an operator who carries a special airburst grenade launcher. The high tech grenades would only detonate after passing 1m through a doorway or window to prevent completely nuking the inside of the objective.
It would be the perfect counter to spawn peekers, even capable of killing them as they begin to retreat. Not sure if these grenades should be able to destroy barbed wire, since it's often placed in front of the objective door.

that aside, i do agree with having the skins only available to the operators who were present during that season. makes sense to me because i see the seasonal weapon skins as souvenirs for the operators from all the previous operations they've been in. so to give the SAT a skull rain weapon skins wouldn't make much sense because they weren't around for skull rain. but giving the BOPE skull rain skins would make sense since they were around for skull rain.

i guess it was a bit cheeky calling them universal *for only operators available during the season* but frankly , you get to apply the skin to every operator you had and every single gun as well. so im happy and i don't feel a need to cry refund honestly.
