I really want to give this game a try. I loved ARK, got about 500 hours in there.

Thing is, I barely have time to play vidya these days. I can squeeze in maybe 2 hours every other day, a bit more on the weekends I guess. So should I even bother? Ark was a huge timesink even with crazy increased rates. How does this compare? Can I just make a single player with increased rates and play on my own, or will it get boring quickly?

Not because that was in the rules, but because you spend so much time building things that it just wasnt worth it to piss someone off. only downside is that hyena has gods enabled, so it literally just takes a day or two of farming (less if not solo) and some giant fuckface is turning your base you built for days/weeks to nothing. with no defense for it (but you keep your xp levels).

This is the biggest downside of Conan for me, as I thought from the trailer it was a random spawn that the server had to deal with together. Instead it promotes zergs and/or making mini-shit bases all over the map to defend against god wipes and indirectly blocking pve AI/nodes from spawning. also now with animals being able to destroy tier 1 bases, its almost mandatory to make your base on one of the cliffs when starting.

Man, admin abuse on servers really ruins any kind of decency this game has. The only way to avoid it is to find a somewhat okay PvE/PvP-RP server and hope that the admin doesn't have a lot of friends on it that he gives free reign and items over the rest.
