Reposting since I got in right as the thread was ending.

So I've only ever really played a Warlock and Hunter in the past. My preferred playstyle in most games is best described as "maximize a single move and try to do a shit-zillion damage with each hit while being next to useless otherwise." For instance, I played an Infiltrator in Mass Effect, and relied solely on my massive rifle, with little to no back-ups.

Is there a class that best fits this in WoW? I felt like Warlock was pretty close with trying to get crits with Shadow Bolt, but I was hoping there was something else. Any ideas?

I have literally never had a good experience with silithus syndicate. The one priest from there i grouped with wiped our group by accident then got passive aggressive over it and started complaining about other people not doing good dps (was a fast run apart from the priest screwing it up). Literally the worst priest/instance member i have ever grouped with on elysium. No meme he was terrible.

Shield block doesn't push crits off the table. Imagine the boss' swing is actually a giant table, if you have above 104% plus some odd change chance to block/parry/dodge it can't crush you. Crits are somewhere (I forget where exactly) ahead of crushes on the table and simply can't be pushed off. Needless to say if you're playing on this trash stock mangos server the defense cap is virtually useless outside of Garr, just wear TPS gear.

Night elves have 5 more agility than humans and I don't plan to use shit weapons like a sword until Thunderfury. So I get extra threat AND migitation. TPS won't matter one I have a thunderfury anyways. It's simply the superior choice if you think about it for more than 5 seconds.
