Imagine if the V3 and SDR2 were switched? The V3 cast would be official SHSLs (except for Saihara, maybe) while the SDR2 cast were normies that were mindhacc'd. How would everything turn out differently? Would Hinata reject Danganronpa? Would Saihara fulfill the role of Izuru?

She did have a few quirks that weren't just "peppy upbeat protag", though. She's very quick to get frustrated, stoops to Miu's level by slinging out the boob taunts back at her, somewhat distrustful of Saihara at first and a bit two faced.

Of course she doesn't have much development because she's the first executed, but I don't think she's a totally flat character.

yeah, no. they're both parts terrible, but Shinguji is so over the top and unrealistic that he's far more entertaining and less disturbing than Haiji was.

>Now for the Akamatsu, I think the chapter 1 thread already says everything I wanted to say about her. She is a character that surpassed all my expectations. She was advertised as a cheerful and proactive girl that do her best would lead everyone into safety and also as a pragmatic heroine who could resort even to lying or “taking advantage of a Class Trial” to save everyone. What I got was basically that but in a level beyond expected.

>Since the first opportunity, she aimed straight for the ringleader’s neck and did what she had to do. Even after she got the wrong guy, she acted like a true hero and decided not leave without fullfiling her promise of bringing everyone with her. She also did her best not to let go of the mastermind’s neck during the trial and, while that was not very successful, it’s still appreciated. She was an ideal hero to me.

I consider stories that tried and failed worse than stories that didn’t bother trying, so that’s put this chapter as Kodaka’s worst work.

>Chapter 3 is clearly themed after religion, but instead of discussing it's theme like any half-decent writer would do, Kodaka just one-sidedly yells “RELIGION IS BAD” in the most irrational ways possible. None of the two characters representing religion were portrayed sympathetically in the slightest.

>Angie was a tyrannical manipulator who would use God's name to make everyone do her bidding and it really felt like the other student council characters were being brainwashed. Chabashira saying that Angie is not malicious and only does what she does because she genuinely believes she can hear God is not as much of a semi-redeeming trait as it should be and arguably only makes her more dangerous.

This is basically saying everyone who has chronic spiritual experiences are nothing but undiagnosed schizophrenics.Then we have Shinguuji, whose entire motive for murder was “I killed because I believe in afterlife”. The way his final speech was written gives the idea that everyone who believes in an afterlife thinks death is just a change of shape and therefore not a big deal, so they have absolutely no qualms about killing or dying. This is ignorant and offensive in levels I don't think I've ever seen before.

I found that post and that's actually always was my take on Ouma's behaviour. Shes a cold, uncaring bitch. After realizing her position she essentially realizes that the lives of thousands matter over the cast (This is legit until the shit she starts doing). She breaks Kaede's promise that she swore she'd listen to and decides that Yumeno's magic trick is the perfect set up for a murder as she made the stage and knows how it works. Thinking she was perfect, she thought this murder would be perfect and tried it out on Hoshi (although really anyone that wasnt in gym could of worked)

Kirumi essentially thought that she could get away with it since she was perfect at anything, and even when she did get caught she thought she could use emotional appeal to get the cast to rebel against monokuma and the others so she could escape. She definitely cares about her people, but the things she did ultimately make her a horrible person. She brutally murders Hoshi, (probably lies about how he gave her his backstory and that he was content with dying), and then doesn't apologize for how she treats the cast like nothing or how she BRUTALLY MURDERED HOSHI AND FORCED THEM TO WATCH. She might be devoted to her people, but holy fuck was that not okay on so many levels. There were so many things Kirumi could of done as they still werent sure of the scenario they were in but nah, she had to think that murder would definitely be the way to get back to her people.
