I think Nino is currently the best green tome. So far mines only a lvl 36 4 star and she has 40 atk and 31 spd. From online she gets ~46 atk and ~36 spd but mine is +atk -hp so she will get 49 atk or so. Shits great and ill probably 5 star her.

My experiences are different. PAD is kinda weird since you don't get many stones, but they give away a free roll at their collab gachas. SIF is insanely generous since you get a gem every day and multiple more from potential login bonuses and events on top of coupons that have a 20% UR rate if you use 5. Starlight Stage isn't great with it, but they've got pretty big events at least and you get what you're looking for if you decide to actually pay.

What happens around her and the challenges she faces because of the plot are what's interesting. Her actual personality IS bland. I don't think she's a terrible character or anything though, I just think it's a result of being such a major character that every piece of dialogue revolves around the plot rather than just letting her be herself, whoever that is.

Huh? The story of Radiance to other FE games is Xenosaga to FF XIII.
And even if RD was bad, it tied up most ends neatly enough, despite the assbackwards way of going about it's story, crappy new additions to the cast and THE BLOOD PACT (it was fucking retarded and I hate so much that almost half of the cast was caught up in one).

Like to find out the truth about Soren you need to have him attack The Black Knight and live during the swamp fight (and he can't survive taking a hit so it's praying for a dodge), you gotta beat the game 4 times for Sephiran to develop a personality, and the idiot ball is handed out llike crazy.

I don't think that the structure of the games inherently prohibits you from being able to tell a more complex or grandscale narrative, the problem is just that they suck ass at it.

Like, c'mon, don't tell me that at its base the premise of a noble torn between blood ties and adopted family with two kingdoms at war isn't pretty fucking compelling. Combine that with the cultural significance of that choice (not-Nippon is bloodlines, with the Eastern audience and culture being inherently more obligated by blood relation, while not-Europe is family by relationships, which is much more in line with Western cultural views on what makes family ties meaningful). Just because IS royally botched what could've been a sweeping kingdoms-wide story with multiple royal families and personal conflicts intertwined doesn't mean that we should just go back to "dragons are evil and you're the hero!" level storytelling.

I guess, but it isn't that the story is simple (story in The Banner Saga is fairly simple for instance), it's that it's shallow.
This has mostly to do with the fact that you can customize the way characters interact a lot more (Marriage) in these games and hence they can't be too set in their tracks.

Not that the older games were brilliant, but I feel that the new ones just leave too much unsaid as far as some things go/don't finish development they started compared to old ones.

With Xenosaga it's the issue of 6 games of story being made into 3 (and the last 3 games were butchered and turned into the 2nd half of 3), and a whole game worth of plot was moved by Namco to retarded stuff like VNs for mobile phones that never got translated (which is just "minor" stuff like explaining what the fuck happens between 2 and 3, who the fuck is Voyager, etc etc)

Revelations was a waste of time and money. The maps were gimmicks. The story started out okay, but after chapter twelve or whatever the two part chapter was, it slowed down to a complete stop and sludged throught shit until the end.
