They help a lot, but as someone who went from always having dash juice in 4U and getting really used to it to having none in Gen because gypceros literally does not appear in meownster hunters and when it does (about one in 40 hunts) it gives only ~4 dash juice on average, and it's not worth hunting gypceros or ludroth manually at a rate of 1 or 2 dash juice per hunt, it's unpleasant but as long as you make sure you always have a little stamina left to dodge it's doable.

Interesting idea. Assuming you wf as soon as possible, and are using a long lv 4 gunlance (which is the highest gen has afaik), and also assuming wf damage hasn't been buffed or nerfed (I can't find info on it!) and you eat for bombardier on top of artillery expert, you can attack every 90 seconds for 336 damage. Non-event Akantor, for an example of a monster with a lot of health, has 11147 health. That means you could, with wf only, theoretically kill the monster in 34 WFs, or 51 minutes- JUST over time. Still, it should work on just about anything else.

Melee bow is actually not as bad as people think. You have access to any status (as green sharpness) and a fast 34mv combo- Given its speed, it has just a little less MVPS than HH, but while HH has AUL song, bow has permanent white sharpness on all weapons (with close range coating). I THINK the best bow for this is amatsu's, which before any skills and after considering sharpness and affinity has an effective 321 raw. The best raw horn with AUL for initial damage (before sharpness goes down) is the relic horn with an effective 252, 300 after accounting for AUL. So you can see that before even accounting for skills and sharpness degradation, the bow has a lot more base raw than the worst BM weapon (which is low-hanging fruit, sure, but the question is whether it's viable and better than people think, not whether it's good).

Today my roommate's stupid cat pulled on my 3DS' cord while it was charging, now the R button is broken and the mh4u cartdrige is slighly scrapped, do not worry i've already killed that cat.

I'm poor as shit and i can't just go outside to buy another one so i was wondering if i can still play monster hunter comfortably or at all even if i have to switch to another weapon and style (for when i eventually play gen), i main hammer and relied a lot on uppercuts and super pounds to set up my combos so you can clearly see that this weapon is no longer an option, neither is.

What do you suggest i use now guys? All i have in my box are hammers, 3 almost fully upgraded LS' and minmaxed clown sets for hammer, i don't mind farming for other weapons as long as they're usable without the experience being tedious (i've already made my peace with not being able to run again).

There's 4 bobbing rocks there, two down and two up. All of them are strung on vines, though the lower two are hilariously hanging on a single flimsy vine.
There's two smaller rocks to their left, right next to the ledge, that actually are indeed not attached to anything, but their not bobbing like the others and close proximity to the ledge makes me think this is a case of bad map editing.

What's up with that? Bow and HBG still manage to be top tier, anyway, so maybe it's reasonable.

Anyway internal elemental ammo gets better clips, better stacks, similar or better damage and the 1.2 boost. Also normal 2's MV shouldn't be that high, though it should be base 18 or so and not fucking 12. As it is, with crit distance and normal up normal gets 19 MV. With the 20% trueshot up boost dazzling is 42. A little over double damage but way more recoil, abysmal clip sizes (which will probably stay abysmal relative to everything else in G rank) and abysmal stack sizes (see above). I'd still use that gimmicky shit but unless there's a gun that can siege a lot of it (which would probably be weak as fuck to compensate) I don't see it taking off.

Internal regular elemental ammos are 58 mv of elemental, btw, 69 after trueshot. Even without shot having shitty hitzones it's enough to usually make them a better option.

There are a LOT of monsters where shot is twice or more times as effective as elemental.

Also, I don't think you're appreciating just how powerful 42 MV is. Use the Metroid LBG.
IIRC, Rapid Firing a raw damage shot uses a 0.70 multiplier, so:
42 * 0.70 = 29.4 (I think we drop the decimal
29 * 4 = 116

A single volley of Dazzling S with Bonus Shot and True Shop Up has an MV of 116, which is comparable to a Lv 3 GS charge.

That's damage per bullet, not per second. 29 is the value you're actually looking at when comparing it to other ammos. Pierce 1 on an HBG can be fired about as fast for 48 MV a shot except from a gun with 20 more raw (210 arm cannon 230 daora grande), 10% affinity (arm cannon has 0), you can fire 120-240 of it depending on combo luck (you can fire just 72 dazzling s with the metroid arm cannon), and you can still fire 12 before "reloading" (to be fair with load up you can fire 16 dazzling from the metroid gun before reloading, but that's another skill you need). Then as a bonus LBG is trapped in place during a volley, while HBG can constantly tweak aim or dodge out of siegemode.

I'm sure for a non-pierce-elemental LBG ammo that's good, but it's piss weak from where I'm standing. Meanwhile no HBG can fire more than 6 total shots of it or 5 without a reload and gets 42 mv per bullet, less than pierce 1. I use pierce 1 as a basis of comparison since it will entirely or mostly land in one hitzone, higher levels of pierce are of course potentially stronger (have better MVs), and it would actually be a lot more fair for me to compare pierce 3 given that a volley of 4 bullets is almost never going to all hit the same hitzone either.

It's also not actually comparable to a GS charge (130 MV in gen) and even if it was GS is kinda shit in gen. Almost everything has something it can do pretty quickly that is better than a level 3 GS charge, thanks to HAs.
