All the assassins are objectively trash compared to Conq/Warlord/Warden

I think giving the players the option to actually make an attack feint like you would do IRL swordfightn by quickly following up with another move instead of being stuck in neutral state after you do it would make offence much better.

Anyone else pleasantly surpised the campaign, even hard mode bots make raider shit, but the kensei boss was still one of the most fun bosses I ever faced, dissapointed I couldn't execute him since he just parried the unblockable every time or hit me out of my heavys.

there are simple, undeniable facts related to characters that make or break them. the most obvious one is what kind of parry punish they have. orochi has a decent one with his double light. warden has a really good one since he has a double light that mixes up into pizza combo. lawbringer apparently (?) has a shitty light attack that deals 10 damage. if the character's parry punish is shit, then the character will be shit as well.

although i haven't played the live game because i feel like i'd be a dope if i bought the game in this state

iskys play a great warden but he's so fucking obnoxious in a "whoa epic PogChamp in the chat!" kind of way. he needs to dial back his fake "hype". besides him I couldn't find any other high level players who at least play pretty seriously.

Key tools:
Any heavy can be canceled into charge.
Any heavy can be combo'd into charge.
Any combo can end with a sweep.
Headbutt can combo into sweep or a free hit.
Free heavy after your sweep - DO IT!
Shield stance can come out as a charge or be canceled into a poke (and supposedly guard break, but seems to be broken or was removed)
Excellent pokes in general
Block-on-startup for light attacks!

There is also the block-on-dodge combo, which is nice, but it is difficult to consistently perform. It doesn't behave quite the same as a deflect.

So, while she seems on paper to be a mix of Warlord and Nobushi, I think she really should be played more like a Warden. Throw out your fast pokes here and there, maybe you'll get lucky and land two hits, at which point you can choose to sweep for a free overhead or try for the stunning strike at the end of the light combo. Cancel heavies into shoulder charge for more sweeps and free hits until your opponents learns to dodge, then just start doing actual heavies into charge to throw them off, or feint the heavy into guard break - head butt - sweep. Mix in shield tackles as well, sometimes canceling them into light attack. Be wary of the shield tackle though, as good players can fairly consistently punish it with a dodge. You can get guaranteed shield tackles by using it to block, but that's easier said than done against good players.

Valk is basically very good at keeping her opponent guessing, similar to the Warden, and has nice quick light attacks to throw out which have block on startup. I don't think her mixup is quite as strong as the Warden's, but on the other hand she has a lot more threats she can toss out at any given time.

Anyone found realistic difficulty a bit too easy?

I died three times, once on wolfmcfurry, once to gravity because I was trying to throw enemies off and once to Apollyon.

Almost the entirety of the orochi campaign I just spammed top light with the occassional gb or storm rush mixed in. The entirety of the warden campaign I just spammed double side light-> shouldercharge -> repeat. Vikings was probably the hardest, but gb+heavy+unblockable comboed made it pretty easy aswell.

Overall a lot of things that don't actually combo, combo in the campaign because the enemies are like level 1 bots even on realistic.
