Does anyone else feel like the game has been steadily declining for the past 2 years or so, or is it just me? In particular at the professional level. There used to be so many good teams. Like every single team in the top 8 highest rated teams used to be extremely competitive and fun to watch. There used to be multiple studios competing for hosting tournaments too, and interest was high.

Slowly the amount of teams worth watching has waned. Most of the "top" teams right now are rookies, one hit wonders like DC, or unknown teams that just happen to be doing well. Where did the magic go? There's no fucking competition anymore. What happened to the days when any match between any of these teams against any other on this list was fucking HYPE

Even for a while after that, things popped up or people stopped being shit like

Now what do we have to get excited about? Just OG, that's it. Sometimes EG does ok. What else? Team NP? Complexity? new-Secret? The Jr division of every Chinese team that is better than the main team but still sucks? These names are nowhere near as strong as the old ones. Even the casting studios feel like they don't care anymore and have their own problems too.

Honestly I like it when every team seems unstable. It makes it seem like there isn't a clear cut dominator of the scene like past metas.

Though the instability could just be pros still adapting to the shifts in the meta, or it could be that other teams are just all around rising in skill, rather than the top teams falling.

I never realized this before, but it's true. Damn. Now that I think about it, I don't really care too much about tournaments because it's always major season. It used to be exciting when any LAN came around, and ESL was hype as fuck. The smaller stuff like Dotapit and Starladder games were fun to watch to see how teams were doing between big tournaments. Now with these majors constantly throughout the year, everything's lost its significance. ESLs go by and I don't even care. The smaller tournaments are a complete bore. I literally just go on gosu or JD and see

Used to spam a lot of necro offlane, the only items I would get were 2 branches, brown boots and tangas. That is enough to carry you up to 5200. Positioning is key ofcourse, you get caught once and you lost the lane.

After that it got super hard to play necro solo offlane because everyone is overall much better past 5300 or around that. So I started playnig roaming bh/slardar/riki. I end every game with like 10cs and 1000 comends.
