What can really make the Warden class excellent is their morphs. Living vine is something that I hoped for, a self casted heal that recovers health in an instant. I hope for it's morph to heal more than one player.

Also something I want to see in the Warden class is buffing your teammates and restoring resources. Buff's like weapon and spell damage, critical and glad that the Winter embrace Ultimate brings a defensive boost, probably will become the Nova for Warden healers. And resources, I would like to see a way to provide teammates with stamina and magika, currently there's just too much straight up health with their kit.

So... I run a NB Stam Tank and I'm at lvl 12 right now. I use Assassination (Killer's Blade, Ambush and Death Stroke), 1-H&S (Pierce Armor, Heroic Sash), Fighter's Guild's Silver Bolts. As you can see, I cannot AoE (I'd like to run Caltrops, but I guess it's too hard to get the Assault level required until I can be of any use at Cyrodill).

Could I be of any use in a dungeon even so?

You want to invest into siphoning, drop the Assassination skills and also go into the Shadow. In low level dungeons you'll always feel like a behemoth without having a meta build.

I picked up ESO (tameriel, not gold) in the recent sale as I wanted to try the game out. Seems fun so far, though just in the regional beginner area. Started as a sorc because I fucking love summons/minions. I was wondering whether or not going full plate with shield/1h weapon would be usable? I have no interest in doing hardcore endgame content, going to probably mostly play the game casually.

Generally in elder scrolls games I end up doing full plate runs with conjured minions. Seems from the skill tree I could also do self regen with dark magic. I was wondering though, do the minions scale off of magika or just their own skill damage? If not, what stat should I focus in?

Crafting looks interesting too, gonna try blacksmithing.

You'd have to spend some time playing catchup, yeah. Mostly because to get a ton of skill points you have to go to all the zones and collect shards, as well as do the main story quest which can take some time.

Also, you can respec quite easily and cheaply ingame for ingame money. The cash shop stuff is about race changes, or faction changes.

Respecs can be bought with ingame gold relatively cheaply, but you can always look up a specialization guide beforehand. It's a good idea to look up information on classes beforehand, though, since I found all of the classes to be incredibly boring and not at all like I assumed they would play(except for the Templar).

In ESO set effects only begin at 2 (with very uncommon exceptions)
helm and shoulders are always occupied by a special type of set (monster set which is 2 piece set only)
Usually the 5th effect of a 5piece is the most sought after for example in pic related with some of the effects sometimes being absolutely irrelevant (also in pic related)
So mixing and matching 3piece and 4piece won't really get you anywhere outside of the few exception sets
I'm a magic user and I dual-wield swords because not only does it give me flat out more damage than using a staff (since last time i checked) I can also get a 5 piece effect instead of 4 that I'd get from having to wield a staff

So I've posted in the last two threads about magicka NB trying to figure out my build before I made my character. Just found out that you can do a stamina based mage NB builds? Really have no idea how that is possible. What are the pro/cons of magicka vs stamina mage builds? I thought that all of the staff abilities would be scaling off of my magicka and since I remember class abilities being magicka based, it seemed like that would be the strongest setup for a mage character.

You're either talking about hybrids or "stamina based [CLASS](not 'mage')"
Destruction staff skills are ALL magic-based and scale off magic no exceptions

CLASS abilities sometimes have a morph that change from a magic ability into a stamina-based and stamina-scaling ability, not all abilities have this option for example cloak - a very commonly used ability with magic-nightblades does not have a stamina morph thus you will rarely see a stamina-based nightblade using it, that was just an example and pretty bad one at that but basically if its a damage ability and you morph it to stamina while you are magic based it's going to be shit and if you try to be a hybrid you are going to be shit, you can be a stamblade or a magblade but you definitely wont be a stamblade mage

You should just make your character it wont really matter for a while and you can always switch builds whenever you want

I wanted to have an idea as to whether or not I would be going stamina/magicka so I could decide on a race. Either going Altmer or Breton for magicka and for stamina I'm between Redguard and Bosmer.

I'd prefer playing on Daggerfall Covenant as I don't particularly want to spend money on the adventurer's pack before I decide if I'll even stick with the game. I'd like to gank people out of stealth and Bosmer seems really strong for stamina stealth builds and Altmer seems like the strongest pick for mage characters.

New player as well, but I have seen a few videos on that build type. I think it might have been in the Deletia guide playlist from the OP. From what I've seen anytime people have a build they are always dumping all points into either stamina or magicka. It could be different on a tank, but you'll be safe dropping points into magicka until you find out what you're doing.

I imagine somebody on PC NA or EU has the recipe for crafting them, they may actually sell them though, but if you have a chance to go fishing, filet the fish you catch and you might find some Perfect Roe which they can use to make you 4 ambrosia pots. The Roe is really what makes them so expensive, it can take a lot of fish to find one.

traits are something that you choose when crafting the item, and they are a permanent part of the item (so the armour will always be Training)

Enchantments are crafted separately, and you can swap enchantments on an item at any time (so you can place a +Max Health enchantment on a piece of armour but later change it to +Max Magicka)

I have the idea of like a "protecter" build.
It's purpose is to keep me and a friend as good as possible alive in cyrodiil and epecially in the sewers.
One skill for examole would be the third of the Support skill line that connects the two of you.
What class would be better for this?

I soloed all the world bosses prior to One Tamriel because they were much easier at the time, especially when you were overleveled for them (IE once you hit 50 and became CP160 and got geared up you could blow away all the CP10-CP100 world bosses), the only ones that needed groups were the ones from Wrothgar and TG/DB.

EP is alright. The people who play them tend to be people that started with Skyrim and join EP so they can go back to Skyrim. The story also kind of falls apart towards the end, but its not bad. AD is full of whiners and shit, and their faction leader pisses me the fuck off. At least Razum Da is a bro, and you get to be a secret police for his cock sleeve, I mean the queen. Well considering it's magicka based you should take a magicka race.
Now here are the options:
Altmer for high magicka pool and sustain,
Breton for resistance and reduced magicka cost,
Also Argonian is a good choice as it is a very tanky race
I wouldn't recommend Dunmer although it supports magicka they're are better for DPS roles.
And for class i think DK id good,

I'm only level 12 but I'm really enjoying how populated this game seems to be.

Is it normal, or is it just because there was a big content patch and a Steam sale? I always figured MMOs besides WoW and FFXIV were dead, so it's a pretty nice surprise to find people everywhere I go. Towns are packed, but I thought the field would be a ghost town and it's been anything but.

I don't know if it's normal, but a lot of people saw that advertisement for the expansion and either bought the game, or had already purchased it and came back to play again.

This is my second time coming back, first was when the dropped the sub but I'd say right now it's a lot better because of One Tamriel, since not everyone is crammed into instances and a few end game zones, but spread out through the entire world. It was really nice to come back to the Altmer starting zone and find CP 160 plus players running around doing world bosses and dolmens.

So I think that's why I've kept playing this last week, because it now actually seems like a world now.

Magic and Hearthstone have a trillion cards every 'standard', but just 100 or so are really useful at its meta - there are 4 or 5 dominant archetypes who rule it all. If you could/if ZO$ would, which two zones, cities and motifs would you redisign.

Cities:

Some people never make it past level 14, yet find the time to find every flaw in the game.

I played my first day of the game yesterday, made an argonian templar which I leveled to 6 and I have some issues:

There doesn't seem to be an objective to the game, not even short-term. I can't find any store in the starting area that sells a suit of armor which I'd be glad to grind for. Am I supposed to craft my armor?

I mistakenly put 2 skill points into health. Is there an easy way of resetting them to reallocate them elsewhere?

What should I be doing?

Considering you're level 6, it's likely that youre still in the tutorial areas. The major fault of ESO is the lack of information given to players via it's UI. You can craft your armor, which is recommended, however a majority of the stuff you'll use will be dropped from enemies or from quests.

The game wants you to do quests and follow the storyline while completing each map you visit. Also yes, you'll eventually get to a city where you can reallocate points at a shrine for a gold cost.

Never buy vendor armor, ever.

Crafted can make some good stuff but otherwise, drops, some quest rewards are now okay too because they made the rewards sometimes part of a set. Each zone has its own affiliated set gear, the set pieces can drop from any mobs (or locked chests) apparently but they tend to drop more from Dolmen (Daedric Anchor) chests, world bosses, and delve bosses

So what you'll want to do is go to a site like: http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Sets

Find a set that has bonuses that appeal to you, then go to the affiliated zone that drops that set and play there, do quests, do dolmens, do delves, do world bosses when you see other people there to do them.

Those sets scale to your level, so as you gain levels you can come back to the zone and get new leveled gear to replace your old stuff (even at level 50 and CP 160 which is the gear cap), or decide that the set wasn't as good as you hoped and try a different set. Each set's 5 piece bonus tends to be more or less fit into a niche for a playstyle, and might make the difference between that playstyle working or not.

You should also research traits constantly if you intend to craft (and put all your equipment crafting on 1 character). Once you can craft some sets that's just more options.

Every character draws from the same skillsets, uses the same skills on front/back bars (magelight, etc).

There's very few truly unique build options. But go ahead and dismiss my point as if this game isn't just a severely watered down version of GW1 with only 4 classes (soon to be 5)

I'd make Dunmeri architecture more varied between different places. Hell, I'd make houses look more different from each other.

Man, I just noticed I'd change lots of things. Architecture's what bother me the most: nature-wise, the game's beatiful as fuck, but cities and places - and even some homes, at the TES series were remarkable and unique. ZOS made it all copy-paste, you can barelly differ Davon's Watch from other Stonefalls forts and Ebonhart...

Dragon Knight makes the most intuitive tank, the Draconic skill line is all about improving your survivability and giving you some neat tools like a projectile reflect, a self heal (not good enough to make you completely self reliant but it does give a good stam/health regen buff to keep up for relatively long durations, and the heal itself can be good in emergencies), an armor buff (that is also a partial melee reflect), an aoe root to help you grab initial aggro. The earth magic line also has some useful tanking stuff.

Races... Imperial (self heal proc on melee attacks, highest health bonus and good stamina bonus), Argonian (incoming (and outgoing) heal bonus, decent health bonus, magicka bonus (useful for some utility skills like dragon's blood), triple pool heal on drinking any potion), Orc (incoming heal bonus, moderate health and stamina bonus), or Nord (damage reduction bonus, decent health bonus, moderate stam bonus)

No. Use shields. Any heal I get are from potions and the occasional crystal fragment when I use it, and it's not every day I'm in the mood to use frags so even if you'd count that as a self heal your points is moot.

you max crafting levels just by deconstructing dropped gear that you find (which also gives you materials), but hold onto gear that has traits you haven't researched yet. To research you go to a crafting bench and go to the second tab from the right, looks like a triangle with circles at the corners. Each new trait (per gear slot) you research doubles the time needed to research, so pick carefully, start out with keeping to 6 hour researches till you get all those done. After awhile you can start to invest in passive skills in your crafts that allow you to research faster and also research more than one trait at a time. If you feel crunched for skill points, realize that the entire game is open and you can go collect easy skyshards (you can use an addon from esoui.com called "skyshards" to mark them all on your map if you're feeling lazy and don't want to play the riddle game with the hints given by the achievement panel). The Skillpoint situation used to be a lot tighter to deal with until you were veteran ranked, now it's easy.

There should also be an addon for help with research, I used to use research assistant but I haven't needed to in a long time so I don't know if it's up to date, but an addon can tell you when you have a piece of gear in your inventory if it has a trait you still need or not, really handy.

So with the Frost Staff changes, is there any way to make a good Magicka DK tank? Any good use of the Frost Staff for Magicka DK in PvP?

I haven't played the game for a good few months and want to reroll my old magblade Dunmer; it got stupidly boring after a while.

Should I go with magplar or magknight for that Ordinator feel?

Forgot to mention that 1h/shield is pretty much a requirement, because it's got one of the only 2 taunts in the game. The other taunt comes from undaunted skill line which requires running dungeons. If you're trying to tank without a taunt.. you're not going to have happy groups.
