My suggestion would be to forego repetence to put inner light on your other bar. You're already feeding stamina to your tank with shards. I prefer healing springs over combat prayer for it's cheaper cost, but most high end healers take combat prayer for the damage buff.

I've had the best luck getting housing recipes from backpacks. Just loot every backpack that you see in the overland and delves. Widgets for making housing items come from the regular material nodes, except for decorative wax. Wax can come from crates, barrels, and sacks. Just check every one you come across. You can make almost as much selling the crafting widgets (regulas and heartwood seems to be the most sought after) as you can get selling recipes.

Depends on your role. Rule of thumb goes (main resource) magicka -> light, stamina -> medium and tanking -> heavy (was stamina but frost staff is magicka tanking).

Researching weapon and armor traits and upgrading your mount are both things you should aim to do pretty quick (you can upgrade mounts without actually having one, and the upgrades will count once you get it).

Also the first 2 levels of backpack space are pretty cheap and will give you an extra 20 slots of space.

Googled Bloodlust and I think they have a similar functionality. Both skills are used to raise the party's damage and survivability (even if one do it by allowing you use your skills more often and faster while the other one raise your attributes and critical damage).

How big of a deal are racial passives? is 10% stam/magic worth a decent chunk or is it super minmax only adds an extra ~1-2% or so of overall damage?

it's worth a decent chunk because #1. It's scaling #2, it not only increases your resource pool but increases your outgoing damage.

You need to balance out all the racial stats though, if you're making a mag sorc, both Altmer and Dunmer are great choices, with Dunmer you'd use a fire staff and you'd do more damage with your destruction staff skills than an Altmer would do, with Altmer you might consider a lightning staff, and your storm calling skills would do more damage than the Dunmer (and you might take the champion point passive that increases damage vs unbalanced enemies, because lightning wall causes unbalanced enemies).. in that case the 1% magicka difference between dunmer and altmer is a non issue, and you make the decision between which damage type you want a bonus to or aesthetics/rp.

But you wouldn't make an Altmer with a stamina build, because Altmers have no stamina bonuses.

It's a dps queuing as a tank, it's a dps with no defense and low damage, healer not healing and buffing... I don't blame them, they're kids or casuals, but I don't like to run an entirely dungeon to give up on the last boss. Most of the time I just leave the group in the middle of the dungeon because I know what will happen at the end.

Not per se, but over time I've learned the hard way that some body builds don't look good in some armors as much as others.

Case and point is my stamsorc orc. Guy is built beefy with broad shoulders and a strong back. I made an imperial heavy set that was supposed to last him a while before he hit 50, but the way his body is causes the shoulders to glitch through his back.

On the other hand, he looks better in Skinchanger with it'd bulky appearance and the shoulder cops cover him quite nicely

The general belief is that the Argonians are behind it but there's a quest in Shadowfen where an Ayyylied ghost tells you that they could have created it was a way to take revenge and kill off their rebelling slaves. No matter what belief you support, non of them rules out Peryite having a hand in it's creation by helping out.

It saddens me that most of the daedric princes have had some really great stuff added to them. Especial Namira with two 4-player dungeons, 1 trial and and the whole "bent cat" thing going on. They don't make good tanks in the traditional sense, but they can be built into a tankier/hardline DPS that can take a nasty hit and keep on kicking. Generally it has proven adequate in filling the basic tanky needs of most dungeon groups.

Getting ready to gear up my DK tank, looking at some guides and skills. I've been running sword and shield on my main bar with my taunts and debuffs with aggressive warhorn, and a 2 hander on my backbar with my buffs and sustain (rally and vigor) and magma armor for when the shit hits the fan. One hand a shield is 50, two handed is 40. Should I switch to a second one hand a shield on my back bar for set bonuses and just rely on vigor for my self healing (also have green dragon blood for the bonuses to healing and heroism), or will I be ok with the twohander? I still have a ways to go, and I don't intend to tank trials (maybe in the future but I got my fill of raiding in other games) so I would at most be tanking vets. I've been leveling both so that I can remain viable no matter which way I go.

Am I supposed to be able to solo public dungeons like Bonesnap Ruins?

Depends on your build. In the early game, it'll be difficult since you don't have all of the skills yet. Once I hit the 30's, I was able to solo them on my DK tank, albeit slowly. Enemies had a hard time killing me, between my defense, self heals, and debuffs, but I also killed them slowly, since my only AoE was my ultimate. I could do it, but it took a while, to the point that in some rooms enemies would be respawning before I had made it across the room, so I was constantly pulling to new areas to avoid getting spawned on top of, and I was almost always in combat. It was good experience in inventory management, but tedious.
