Warden's top stance is actually pretty clever. He holds the sword with his right hand, resting it on his left elbow, with the "lung" of his (open) left hand placed under his right hand, so when he either perform a thrust right away, or grab the hilt with his left hand when he wants to swing.

I just feel so unfinished since I never had a game knowing it was the end. I mean I guess Im kinda glad my final game last night was me destroying some bitches in dominion as warlord going like 11-1 but it also kinda sucks because everything finally clicked and I finally really understood how to be a unstoppable wrecking ball with him. Wouldve loved to grind up a bit more gold to buy that sweet ass conq execution too, god that thing look so satisfying

Im the retard for not looking up end times, it just bothers me because I know I'll never play the game again. Its too shallow and filled with too many ubisoft flaws to justify spending more than 20 bucks on for me, and I absolutely despise the defensive fighting at high levels thats all about just spamming feints until someone fucks up (I remember quitting chivalry early on because of something like this). It'll go on sale one day but by then it'll probably be dead and the only people left will be the turbo autists who know everything about the game. Wouldve liked to have one last game to bully some weeb roaches but oh well, it was sorta fun while it lasted. Ultimately Im glad a game like this exists and I like the idea behind it but I just think its implemented a little too poorly and priced too highly to be a game I can devote myself to.

Also, you should check to see if they aren't adding tax to their costs while you are checking out. A bunch of sites advertise things like $10 off but after tax it's only $2.

The pre-order bonus is some skins and stuff. I don't have the image that showed all the details but the wardens get a dope af cross on their armor.

This game is gonna die after a couple of months.

Combat is just a repetitive game of rock paper scissors, ESPECIALLY duels. Street Fighter has more depth that this game does.

Things are okay in 1v1, but the game gets awkward and shitty as fuck when it turns into 1v2/3/4. This game isn't built for fighting against multiple opponents, just duels.

Also disappointed that terrain doesn't affect combat nearly as much. Trees and narrow corridors should prevent you from swinging your fuckhueg sword/spear/flail. You should only be able to thrust and such.

When this game was announced I was really hoping for large scale PVP combat. Something at least like 12v12.
Having that many players would allow differing tactics and formations; like heavies in the front, hybrids in the back, and assassins on the flanks.

It's called the Ox guard or orchs stance (interchangeable names). it basically allows for multiple attacks. First being a stab, second it allows you to pivot your wrist and go for a high slash. it also allows for a degree of defence against mid-level swinging attacks by pointing the sword down and pivoting and against high overhead attacks

And then you can deploy those war assets onto a map square to defend or attack for your faction. Or if you don't they will be evenly split between all your faction's active squares.

Each territory in a front can be attacked or defended. When you attack or defend a territory, your little %-bar goes up. At the end of a round (each round lasts a few hours), the faction with the highest % of assets present gets the territory, and the front moves forward or backward accordingly (allowing more territories to be contested).

Strategy-wise, this means that you're going to want to deploy war assets in places where they make a difference. Consider:

Isn't it more likely that the 50%/49% is going to have more assets placed in it because most people think this way?

If you add your 100 points to a 4,340,200 vs a 4,337,100 fight then you aren't contributing as much (percentage wise) as a 1000 vs 100 fight.

Also I feel like defending war assets should give a larger benefit to a fight then offensive - otherwise its just two battles next to eachother which really makes no senes

How do I fight peacekeeper/Orochi as the conq? It felt like either of them could easily dodge any of my swings. Only times I won was when I got a lucky parry or backed them into a corner where they couldn't side dash fucking everything.

Particularly infuriating was when they'd side dash into the same direction I swing from, but the flail just wiffs right through them "cuz dashing" then they'd get a free hit on me.

Yeah, orochi's forward throw kinda sucks, I usually have to leave guard mode and run forward to catch someone if I knock them down. The side and backwards throws aren't that bad though.
