My Robin is rather slow so ironically Tharja is the better Takumi killer right now on my team. He's a 4* just like Sharena but she has more uses since I keep on running into Lyns with good Res so she can actually hurt them more than he does. Should I upgrade her to 5* instead of him since his niche is pretty much taken by Tharja already. Feel like I should replace him with someone else, like a Grey unit or a Healer since he's mainly useful because of his Def buffs.

Spur skills aren't considered buffs so they don't actually activate. If you stand beside someone they just get the stats as they attack it doesn't show up anywhere. If you look at how much damage you will take with Robin close and then move him away you will see that number change.

That's why Nino doesn't get bonus damage from those stat buffs.

I know that but like I said, Tharja is doing that job better than he does. When my units haven't reached level 30 yet, my Robin could wreck enemy Takumis but ever since they pass the 30 mark, he gets wrecked by Takumi because of his shit Spd. My Tharja isn't capable of OHKO'ing Taco yet when she initiates the fight, his counterattack actually helps with her skill Vengeance and she always ORKO him with a good charge for Vengeance proc after that.

Hector kills healers much better than them since most of them has shit Def and he actually has the most Res in my team, 1 more than Tharja (though he is 3 levels above her). With her Spur Res skill, he absolutely rapes healers with her by his side. Tharja's overkill Mag can also fuck them up badly though.
