Real talk? I would yes, we know for a fact current focus banner ends on the 14th. There's absolutely NO way they won't be adding brand new Focused (maybe even a whole new roster) starting the 15th even if it somehow ISN'T the FE4 and FE8 crew teased from Cipher stream. We've all seen complaints about game being stagnant and there being nothing to do as is, I doubt Nintendo's not aware of it either. FEH is nevertheless doing very well right now, they've got momentum going, it'd be dumb to not continue capitalizing on it. I suspect Tellius wasn't shown to keep the hype rolling for the Focus in March, but the past two weeks should have still given them plenty of data about the playerbase and "meta". And what's the meta? Red city, so if they're any smart about it, next Focus definitely ought to have a notable blue presence. Ephraim uses lance and Julia uses holy magic, both have BLUE plastered all over them and are all but guaranteed to put some form of check on all the red sword lords that are running everywhere at this moment.

In any case I'd still suggest waiting. Maybe there will be more patches that can be datamined for an idea of stuff to come before the 15th. Game's still young, after all.

Does merging have any effect other than an SP increase and the background color change? Do stats get increased at all?

I do, but I actually switched from using Bluestacks to Nox and enjoy it much more.

Nox seems to run better and has the built in rooting feature, whereas Bluestacks has to be manually rooted and such (At least I'm pretty sure). That makes it a pain in the ass to fix the 803-3001 Error on Bluestacks, but Nox only takes like 2 minutes.

As for making purchases though, I can't say I've heard anything about it not being able to. It may be worth a shot. You can have a single Nintendo Account be shared across multiple devices, so I'd say it could be worth it to see if you can use Bluestacks to make a purchase, and then switch back to using Nox when you're done.

You can split the rolls too, or at "worse" decide last minute how to spend your orbs.
