I think it'll still be a strong tank but the alpha advantage is way overblown as to why it'll be strong. It definitely won't usurp the IS-3 in comp play since its shortcomings make it a poor group play vehicle.

ELC AMX is a fun tank. It's essentially a rally car with a 90mm cannon.

Other French lights are meh.

Batchat is good, until you need to reload. Has absolutely no armour so HEP/HESH will deliver 300 damage every time.

AMX 30B is inferior in both performance and aesthetics to the Centurion Action X.

Foch 155 sucks.

BC 155 55 is good - no significant splash but a good ROF.

BC 155 58 is not good - no significant splash and a ~50 second reload (just pretty meh when playing).

AMX 50 B is inferior to the T57 Heavy.

I'd say get to tier 5 at the very least before abandoning the tree completly. Also, the test server is still active for the time being so I'd recommend downloading and playing that to see if any of the lines are worth it in your opinion. Remember, I'm just some anon on another keyboard that may or may not be pulling your strings.

Those are strategic bombers. Drastically different from CAS. Mainly because they're missing the "C". They drop a fuckton of bombs from high altitude. Modern equivalent is the B-52, although they're wholly irrelevant in modern times with ICBMs.
