Acquisitor is pretty good for a chuckle. I think they also use items more often, but I might be crazy.

If you just want to change appearance, you could download the hook mod instead of starting over. You get the ability to change appearance whenever you want in post game, anyway.

Aquisitor is fine on a physical pawn. They'll take a break from fighting to go pick up items then they'll get back to the action. Just don't put it on a magic user because it causes them to interrupt their spells in order to grab stuff. It is pretty unpopular though so you'll get less rentals.

Depends, if you're an MK, ranger, assassin, MA, sorc, or mage, not at all. He just has another phase where you have to do damage again. If you're not those classes, a little bit harder, because you have longer to not fuck up.

I've never managed to kill Death before because he would always bug out and get all of his HP back in my previous playthroughs

Sure, but ask yourself how a sorcerer is supposed to fight a condemned gorecyclops without cheesing in some way. You either stay in a safe spot to cast spells, cheese with torpor so you have time to cast spells, or run around doing nothing but holy focused bolts. The only safe way to fight those things legit is climbing or staying between their legs, neither of which allow a sorcerer to cast anything since stomps will constantly interrupt you.

So, I just beated the game, and wanted to ask a some quesions:

Should I do the DLC and then reset for hard mode (if I ever do another run), or go directly into the DLC in hard mode?

Also, would you recommend to rush into the city to get my MK vovcation back ASAP, or to try another class? Is it too jackass to go into the DLC trying a new profession/not with good gear?

Finally, how do I "train" a good pawn?

Hard Mode is meme mode.It makes Warrior and Fighter classes even more shitty in BBi.
Play game without using overpowered items and try to minimize curative usage and that will serve as 'Hard Mode'

I took her through the first part of bbi, killed a condemed ogre, an elder ogre, a bunch of undead, and the devilfire wyrm . Did she very well, very good at dodging. She used her fire enchant a lot.

I think I have a bug with demonsspite, or something else going on. My guy just charges it forever, holding his shield up and summoning the dark magic but never applies it to his shield. I can't move or do anything but jump to break it and rever back to normal.

If you can go taller, go a little taller.

Spread the facial features out a little. A decent rule of thumb is that the distance between the chin and the line of your mouth is the same as the distance from your mouth to the base of the bridge of your nose, your nose to your brow, and your brow to the top of your forehead.

Yeah, I'm playing MK and they can be really annoying to actually ground for an extended period of time. After that though, full moon slash i-frames and blessed riposite is insane. I had a lot of trouble with frostwyrms because they'd fly up, dive back down, do the kill-all-pawn breath and then immediately drop about 30 spells on the ground within seconds.

Solo dragons shouldn't realistically be an issue for anyone but when a duo of them spam spells or even worse, when they shit spells on you in eliminator alley it gets pretty bullshit.

If DD2 comes, I hope the weather is more humid with some occasional morning fog;
Also hope vegetation is thicker and interiors have more vegetation, like BBI did compared to main game.

I hope gold is scarce. Imagine running Bitterblack and only having a few hundred gold on you. Kingswarish was one of the only curatives in the game and healed you about 70% of your base health but had a small cast time like DS. They could be bought in infinite numbers, but cost 100g, and the hardest enemies in-game dropped between 50 and 300g. Daimon dropped 1000g.

That was a beautiful and amazing boss fight but man did I look silly jumping frantically trying to hit the heart.

Fighter is lots of fun thouh and it's kind of surprising that's the case - normally I expect sword and board or whatever and shield to get shit on by devs and made into "no attack only tank". But while the damage is less than a warrior it's satisfactory and I'm fast as fuck.

How the fuck does this general even continue.

It's a good game. It's a great game, on par with the best, even if hilariously flawed. But what staying power does it have? Why are you, the sperglord hardcore fans (I mean this as a compliment) still talking about it?

Certainly I find the general helpful, but I am new and playing the game for the first time -- surely this general cannot be sustained all these years by a constant influx of ones such as me.

And there are many other great games without generals.

>very good medieval europe based setting
>shit ton of armor and fashion potential

If it was just one of these things, the game probably wouldn't still get as much attention as it does.

Better than anything we produced. Even our best's budget is shitty enough to be indie and is Turkish, in any case.

But...what is there to discuss? Mods aren't huge here, not in the same way as Bethesdashit. It's not multiplayer, not even to the extent of Dark Souls. Waifus would normally be the recourse (see: Katawa Shoujo), but despite the literal waifumancing that's not what's really talked about (probably because of bitterness around their gutted characterisation. At least, that's how I feel). I mean sure, we could talk about the qualities of the game, but at a certain point don't you run out of stuff to say?

Also are striders better than assassins? I've played as both and striders just seem better. Sword & shield doesn't seem worth going assassin instead of fighter, and dagger + shield doesn't seem worth the disadvantages compared with strider's daggerdagger. Am I missing something?

There's not much to discuss, but every once in a while someone discovers something new. There was a lot of love put into this game, so most people just end up gushing about how they love all the little details or how it seems like their pawns have personalities.

They're kind of all over the place. The shield skills don't really line up with anything, the one exception being enhanced response which lets you climb a bit easier to get in position for gouge or kisses quickly.
The ripostes are nice too, but i find myself not using them that much.
Daggers+shield is a fun novelty, and still really useful.

Maybe I'll unlock showdown and grab the climbing gloves before i solidify my opinion though.

You're right. With those two games, at least. They don't strain themselves trying to differentiate themselves (and fail, badly) -- they just do what they want to do, and through doing that, become unique. And then the Souls series just spammed the good thing it had going.

Oh right, the friendship chair. I kind of found it neat how the village you grow up in is this classical almost ancient greek feel with greek accents and everything, then you get to the main city and it's more renaissance standard Western European (A few folks in the city have the greek accent but most don't). Leads to a bit of head-canon filling in about how the difference might have arisen. Also the myrmidones being one of the terms for the Pawns and such.

I also like the DD/Souls quaintly medieval feeling without becoming boring by introducing fresh and neat concepts and angles to it so it isn't just the standard wizards and knights.

But yeah, such a shame he wasn't a proper 'big bad'. I had more trouble with gargoyles than I did with him on my first playthrough.
Would have loved to have seen phases of the fight were he was untouchable and you just had to dodge insta-cast bolides and gicels while he just shits out grimoires.

Not very because the biggest problem with that fight is his human tier hp.
Same with that one guy reanimating skeletons underground.

They both die in a couple of hits since they appear as enemies at the time you are supposed to fight griffin (and possibly drake) both of which have like 50 times hp.
