What clothing is most Robot looking?

Besides Bloodletter and Stake Driver, what's a good metallic weapon that looks like something a robot would use. Research for a STR/BLT build.

Due to fucking about with Great One blood that's been happening ever since the church discovered Ebrietas (but potentially further back, but Pthumerians may have been able to resist the scourge), but never having done it on the scale of the Mensis ritual which is why this is the worst hunt Yharnam has seen.

I'll agree with the Saif, Chikage, and LHB being memes, and the Axe to an extent, but the rest of that list, just no. Those are dead useful weapons, the Rakuyo is just another tool in the arsenal of edgy shitters. How could it be good for cosplay?

Alright anon just stop. I didn't want to say anything because >>167629068 is wrong too (The Reiter is clearly a backsword), but the Rakuyo's curve alone makes it more similar to 99% of historical cutlasses than the Reiter.

Okay. Fine, fair, I really don't want to dig through weapon art to finish the argument, no matter who's right. I just don't like the Rakuyo, and have never used the Reiter before. And ever since they mentioned a pirate cosplay, I've been thinking this might be the time to use it
>>
>>167629653
Eh, both are great at 50 Skl and the Reier being a gun and a sword fits pretty well into the Pirate theme regardless.

Between the two I'd go Reiter for a shooty douchbag type of pirate, but Rakuyo for a swashbuckling type.

There's also no reason not to use both.
>>
>>167629815
That's what I figured, might as well take them both on a magical journey. At least my pirate hunter will feel right at home in the Fishing Hamlet.
And shit, I just made a backstory for the guy. It's like a reflex now

The Seafarer's Workshop:
The hidden workshop of hunters stationed in the ill-fated Fishing Hamlet, where the body of Kos was discovered. These eccentric hunters were a bundle of misfits, outlaws, and drunken sailors, believing themselves to be pirates, taking the duty of watching over Kos' corpse to ensure nothing else would become of it. However, their faith in the ways of pirates and lust for the water drove them to hunting above the Bottomless Sea, wanting to fight the Leviathans and Behemoths that may have slept below.
Upon their journey out, they were swallowed by fog and never seen again. Some say they found the beasts of the sea, and are engaged to even this day in a hunt others could only imagine.
I told you it's a reflex, this was done with no prior planning

>>
>>167632091
It might have been satire on earlier parts of the last thread and a bit of this one, where the backstory of our hunters were thrown around a little.
But Kos being dead does create quite the hole in the story, or perhaps a setup for a shocking twist
>>

Reiter and Rakuyo. The latter makes for a better cutlass as it's a slightly curved, single-edged sword as opposed to the more thrusty, rapier-esque Reiter, but you can't beat dual-wielding the Reiter and Evelyn to mow down fuggers and then move in with the Ricky for close range swashbuckling.

I'm kind of surprised, with all the tricorns in this game, people don't do pirates more often.

The Pact, a 2012 horror film I never got around to watching, it was a pretty decent watch to be honest, wasn't too indulgent with its supernaturally imagery, which was nice. Casper van Dien is in it because he needed a hot dinner.

Part of me feels a pirate setting would kind of work for a Souls/Bloodborne game, or even just Age of Sail. Lots of unexplored islands with lost ancient civilizations, forgotten treasure, a vast and deep ocean and all the superstitions of sailors to work with. A man can dream, though. I like to think that's where my pirate came from, contracted some illness on a ship and came to Yharnam seeking a cure.

Yeah, it was by no means a fantastic film, but for what it was, I actually didn't hate it, because it was more reticent with its imagery than most modern horror films are. I feel like I didn't waste my time watching it and that's probably the best compliment I can give most horror films today.

I guarantee From could make a kickass Souls-like pirate game, maybe even dredging up the more historical figures in piracy. It would be an utter blast, and I would definitely play it.
How the hell did it get a sequel? Then again, how do most horror films get sequels? The Friday the 13th franchise got eleven or so, that's excessive

God, I haven't a clue. It didn't warrant a sequel, anyway, it's fine as it is. I don't think it was received terribly well anyway. Sure, Hellraiser has ten movies now, Halloween has about 8 or 9 with that really weird third one about the child-hating druid who mutates kids with techno-masks on Halloween with subliminal messages. Phantasm, Wishmaster, the list goes on.

I didn't know I wanted this until now. Some of the setting could be in a port city, some of it Uncharted 4-style setting, the return of skeleton enemies, proper ghost enemies, fighting giant sea monsters...
From said they were working on a few things that were "completely different." There may be hope for us to become the swashbucklers and buccaneers we always wanted to be.
Really, if you can't tell a complete horror story in one movie, don't bother beating it to death with another half a dozen. At the same time, some movies should have stayed at one, like the Exorcist. The first was great, but any religious-possession-paranormal film after that was just terrible.

Bloodborne doesn't have actual enemy variety though. 80% of the enemies fall into the same generic werewolf/furry archetype.

Dark Souls 3 has actual enemy variety.

Abandoned and lost port cities, overrun with evils of the sea, once-human denizens of failed colonial outposts, and the further out into the sea you go, the worse stuff gets. Maybe the goal is to sail to the horizon for something. You're probably seeking some treasure beyond some impossible boundary. And it's gold that acts as the souls/blood, the curse of gold that drives men to horde it and slay for it. This is killing me to be honest, I'm gonna write this all down.

Usually they do, but the problem is previous franchises have set a bad example, so now everyone makes a sequel. I actually forgive Hellrasiers 1-4 since they detail, all separately, a pretty neat little universe. Exorcist 3 Legion is pretty good if you can get past Brad Dourif chewing the scenery, it has only tangential relations to The Exorcist. I also unironically enjoy the Conjuring movies, they're great paranormal thrillers and Patrick Wilson would make a great Good Hunter.

You're purposefully discounting a huge amount of enemies that don't fall under that, such as nearly everything in Pthumeru and Isz, the Brainsuckers, Celestial Minions, Celestial Children, Church Doctors and Giants, Snakes, Garden of the Eyes, a handful of enemies in the Hunter's Nightmare, the whole of the Research Hall and Fishing Hamlet, some Yahar'gul enemeis, you get the idea. Besides, how many rejects from BB did they implement in DaS3? A huge amount, right, just couldn't let go of BB?
Excellent bait, though.

Keep this all in mind, I want this to come around.
Patrick Wilson probably could, I think Cillian Murphy (Scarecrow in Nolan's Batman series) would also make a good one, maybe one more into Arcane. Some sequels can work, but they eventually need to say enough is enough before they start doing more harm than good

Imagine boss arenas that are huge treasure rooms in temples on desert islands, some huge creature thrashing around, killing the framerate by crashing through piles of coins, or fighting some unseen creature swimming a mass of treasures under your feet, enemies wielding huge wooden chests wrapped in chains that smash you, mimics that don't hurt you, but take your gold.

You know, I think Cillian Murphy, if not Rufus Sewell, would make a great Micolash. Has that kind of mop of hair and angular face and I can see Murphy acting a lot crazier than Sewell. And I agree, it gets to a point where you're making a sequel for the sake of it. Hellraisers 9 and 10 literally only exist to Dimension Films can keep hold of the copyright, it's pretty sad.

More than anything, I just want a pirate game, it would be an absolute riot. Imagine an expanded arena like in DaS3, but with full-on ship battles and monster summoning.
If you've seen Nolan's Batman trilogy, particularly the first, you know why Murphy would be great, especially for Micolash; he certainly has the insane scholar down pat.

I'm having trouble thinking of what this game's humanity/insight would be. I was thinking Salt, as it was a valuable item for trade, but captains are also referred to sometimes as an 'old salt'. I got a weird image in my head of people who spend too much time, like ship captains, out on the sea and it changing them, eventually becoming statues piloting adrift vessels forever. The risk and reward being you need that Salt to traverse the waves and be in-tune with the ocean, provides some actual physical protection, it also sort of artificially preserves your body making you live longer, but too much will destroy you. Sources of Salt would be old trading posts and dead captains on ships, or random accumulation at sea. I can't help but think Salt just sounds funny now, though.

I'm glad you like this stuff, anon. I could put it all in a PDF and upload it on /tg/ or something if you or anyone else wants it.

That's exactly what I was thinking of! I bet he could pull off a good British accent, too, he does American well enough.

At the risk of bringing a supernatural element in, perhaps certain gems from a bottomless pit of treasure, those which reignite something inside of you. It could work either way, but preferably as Insight does. However, using the Salt to investigate new parts would be great, perhaps the salt left behind from ancient ships who held knowledge of the treasure.
Maybe they could do Wolnir right this time, the High Lord Spookington of Pirates, a skeleton made entirely of gold, the husk of a feared captain who sacrificed everything to ensure his loot would remain untouched. Sea monsters such as a Kracken go without saying, maybe even mermaids as temptresses (cross between the Desert Sorceress and the things in the Fishing Hamlet who live in those shells). The smaller, cozier hub of a ship would be great, could be affected by ornamental weather (storms, clear days, nighttime, everything remaining still), more crew members show up with recruiting them.
Definitely put it on a PDF, and maybe post it to /tg/, or even repost all of your ideas (and the ones I have here, if you like them) at the next new thread, during more active hours.
He certainly could do it. I'm imagining that scene where Batman confronts Scarecrow and drugs him with a dose of the gas, but Bale is in a hunter's set and Murphy has the scholar set with the Cage, continuously laughing despite the death grip on his neck

That game is honestly amazing. It was the last of the series I had played and I hated it at first but after giving it another chance, I'd say it's my 3rd favorite of the Soulsborne series.

Gems could work, too, more treasure, more greed in theme with the gold, yeah.
I like the giant bonelord made of gold, just fuckin encrusted with it, red gems inside the chest cavity. Krakens, mermiads, too, especially Fiji Mermaids, the really grotesque monkey ones. I'd like to see From's take on a Scottish Nuckelavee, too, the skinless manhorse demon of the sea. Bishopfish, too, the weird fish creatures that look like clergy. Deep sea stuff, too, gotta use that!
Crew members in lieu of characters you meet, too, I like that.
Gonna put all this stuff into a PDF, will link to /tg/ post with PDF in a sec.

I'm just imagining Murphy laughing like a goober and whooping with a cage on his head. Someone has to photoshop Murphy's head into Micolash's cage.
>>
>>167641830
Here it is!

>>51605172
>>
>>167641830
For Bonelord of Gold, both phases are like Ludwig's first: fast, aggressive, relentless. His second phase, he pulls a sword out of a well in the arena, again using it. He has nothing below the waist, so he pushes himself around using his giant bone arms. In the second phase, he can grab the player, drag them to the well, and drown them (also let us swim in the game), unless the player can break the grip beforehand. No obvious weak points, no real weaknesses, just a big, angry, golden, fuck-you sized skeleton, maybe gems glittering from the eye sockets. Upon death, he explodes into a mountain of gold coins (have all bosses do that, symbolize their greed).
The mermaids look beautiful until you aggro them, they turn into hideous fish-beings, like the things in the Hamlet.
Maybe have mysterious floating towns, ones just floating along on the water, full of fog and things trying to kill you. The more crew added, the more you can do and more places you can go. The big issue would be weapons, considering they might be lacking in variety. Also, pirates are far more Western, this might be difficult for an Eastern studio.
I'm sure Meme Machine or someone will get on this

I can't, but I have it memorized. Maybe higher level bosses represent pirate captains, and the success line is "Captain Usurped," or something to that effect. For Bonfires/Lanterns, maybe a water well or a pile of coins in which we mount a flag. What would we do about the level-up waifu, though?
>>

>>
>>167643575
No worries, I'm still copying down for a bit (it's pretty late in Yuroland though), I've added the previous post and will keep doing so, maybe link to the updated one tomorrow.
Definitely captains as bosses, probably ones under severe greed/salt influence/corruption, old and strange, ones also on the search for the treasure.
As for checkpoints, I was thinking some kind of nautical device, an astrolabe or sextant or a globe, activating it aligns it with the stars or spins it. For the level-up waifu, what about the figurehead of the ship, except it points inwards and you can talk to it, a la Golden Voyage of Sinbad.
>>
>>167644397
>As for checkpoints, I was thinking some kind of nautical device, an astrolabe or sextant or a globe
That could be fun, maybe even a sundial
>For the level-up waifu, what about the figurehead of the ship, except it points inwards and you can talk to it, a la Golden Voyage of Sinbad.
I didn't even think of that, that's a great idea!
At some point, I'd want a parrot as part of the cap or chest garb on the shoulders
>>
>>167644536
I like the sundial, that stands out, actually.

Imagine equippable temporary parrot items, reveals additional items/messages (messages would be notes in bottles on the ground), and garb with parrots have innate item discovery.
>>
>>167644921
For covenants, it's what flag you fly on the ship. If you happen across a friendly port being invaded by a rival faction, get fighting, maybe lift the loot from the invader's ship. In finding a rival port, get pillaging.
At the same time, summoning for help could be sparking flares in specific areas, or leaving coins on the ground, make it a bit more like Souls summoning.
>Imagine equippable temporary parrot items, reveals additional items/messages (messages would be notes in bottles on the ground), and garb with parrots have innate item discovery.
Absolutely, parrots could act almost as consumables. Could we implement ships in a bottle in some way?
I also feel like the pirate era would open up to the usage of witchcraft, like witch doctors, voodoo priests, and the like. The witch doctors specialize in healing ability, the voodoo priests can cast curses, hexes, use dolls
>>
>>167645138
Oh, that is perfect! There was that defensive Rat King covenant in DS2, defending and pillaging areas could work like that. And I like flares as summoning signs, too.

Witchcraft would definitely be sorcery/arc. It could stem from a bunch of sources, like the gold, the same way souls are utilized for sorcery, Midas Touch kind spells to harm or impede movement, sea storm spells/miracles based around lightning and water, more nebulous hexes and curses from island civilizations.

I'm noting every one of these down, but it's nearly 6:30am here. I'll upload an updated PDF tomorrow night and leave it in the thread for a bit, I'll be on the lookout if you request it. But you copy it down, too, just in case. This shit is why /bbg/ is best general, anon.
>>
>>167645639
I'm calling it off, too, I want to go to bed. However, two last things.
For healing, we're getting boozed up on rum, boyo. A few flasks cut the pain.
At some point, we need to fight a sea god, or face the wrath of one.
>>
What's the right level of cowardice when you've summoned? Obviously you don't wanna let the cooperator do all the work, but if you take the lead, charge in, and die immediately, it's humiliating.

Not unless you savescum with a USB. The game itself doesn't give such an option and throws you into NG+ right after the ending.

You should just complete the game 3 times. It's only the beginning

Is 120 the generally agreed upon level cap for online play?

Wanna make a BT build with enough STR to use the Cannon, but I also want 25 SKL for visceral damage and untricked Bowblade and Chikage, so my level is going to be pushing that limit

Is the saw cleaver better than saw spear?
I decided to use saw cleaver against Blood born Beast and chewed through its hitpoints bar in a minute at best with fire paper, was impressed by this weapons ridiculous speed, stamina consumption is lower than hunter's axe too by far, I'm a strength build first off. Hopefully I can start the expansion soon, I really wanna see that content.
>>
>>167659617
As far as I know, Cleaver is tuned towards STR, Spear is tuned towards SKL, but are otherwise nearly identical.

In other news, I'm rolling into Maria for the first time. Level 80, 27/20/10/32/32/9 with Chikage+9 with 30% worth of phys atk gems and +12.5% rally, Evelyn+9 with +15% bld atk and runes of +10% hp, visc atk +20% and +200hp on visc atks. How screwed am I?

Oh yeah, I'm getting my shit pushed in, she is well deserving of her reputation.

For some reason it's always the beast bosses that piss me off. Gascoine's last third pisses me off. Lugwig's first half pisses me off. The orphan is probably going to piss me the fuck off. But Maria never stops being a duel. I'm getting raped, and loving every second of it.
>>

>Evelyn+9 with +15% bld atk

10 bone ash shots of that does a decent amount
>>
>>167645994

You lose nothing from dying, they waste an insight and risk all their blood echos if they die

So you put on your big boy pants, become the vessel of unyielding fury the beckoner needs, rush headlong into the danger like a god damned man and show them hows it's done.

Yeah, sure, first few times you're gonna die, something's gonna take you by surprise, you'll get blindsided, you'll have to get used to taking less punishment

But when you literally get fucking good, as I'd hope most people who've been playing since launch have by now, you'll be someone that every beckoner wants to summon. There's nothing more thrilling than beckoning an unassuming looking hunter who proceeds to dodge everything as though he has a sixth sense, tear the clearly terrifying enemies several new ones, and still manage to show you all the fascinating secrets of the area. And there's nothing more validating as a player
>>
>>167659617

Saw spear has the benefit of having the serrated damage bonus against beasts in both of its transformations. If you're not fond of its spear form however that's obviously a moot point, and you will want to tune out your saw cleaver if that's the case
>>
>>167651781

Laurence I found to be more about tactics than out and out stats, since it's an endurance fight where you need to avoid getting hit, boost your fire resistance as much as possible via non fashionable clothing, and just chip away until you win.

Wait until you hit a level where you can comfortably rush him without using any vials (Or bullets if you're relying on hunter tools for damage), then summon people in (Ideally after clearing shit as they do have a tendency to get either you or themselves hurt in the process of reaching the boss) then just chip away VERY defensively and with as much mobility as you can manage, and hope your summons can manage the same

The fight is all about surviving. It's not a damage test where you need to kill it as fast as possible, and infact trying to do that is going to be detrimental as you will not only end up rushing into an avoidable death, but if it somehow does work you won't have been paying attention to how Laurence operates, and you'll be in the same position of not knowing how to handle him on the next guy you roll who needs his shit

tl;dr: Level until you can faceroll the area up to the boss room, summon people you know or people from this thread if you can, otherwise find an old hunter to summon. Let your summons keep the boss targeting them, do a bit of damage but ALWAYS have enough stamina to dash out 2-3 times in a row. Repeat for each phase and done

I'm new to Bloodborne. What's the difference between physical attack plus and attack up plus gems?
>>
>>167661631

Well if he's asking about Laurence you have to take all different ways of thinking into account

If he summons at the start, he could get people who bumrush the enemies so they can get blood echoes regardless of whether they die or not

If he summons at the end, well, summons do sometimes panic

Either way, being able to faceroll the mobs on the way to Laurence is normally a good measure for whether you can take him on, at least in regards to the people I've been summoned by
>>
>>167661762
attack up boosts fire/arcane/bolt/blood damage as well, phys just boosts phys and blood

>>167661762

Phys is just for physical damage

I hate the bagmen. Huge health, never fucking stagger. Probably one of the only enemies I actually struggle with because hell if I fail the parry I'm fucking dead. I tried parrying the punch but the exact timing eludes me and it's not exactly easy fighting them you know.

Nothing is a one shot if you level your health properly. With Meta health levels only Defiled Amy should be able to one shot you with her jump, which you can avoid by standing still.

>>167663281

>>
New to souls games. No idea what the fuck I'm meant to be doing. I'm at a stage where I can seemingly fight 3 different bosses, but I'm not sure which one is the 'proper' one to do so. I've beaten the bridge boss, the guy in the graveyard. There's one I can get to after avoiding the guy with the gun shooting from the tower. There's one which is a woman who transforms.
>>
>>167650590
Because his area all looks the same and ideally people don't run it enough to memorize the layout, meaning you're just charging aimlessly down a bunch of identical halls until he decides to fight.
>>
>>167663332
Bagmen aka Snatcher's. I've only got 16 vitality and they're fucking me over some kinda prime. I hit nothing with my hunter's axe, hardly stagger them and the hitboxes for parries are eluding me, the issue with the parries is that if I fail I'm dead which is really pissing me off.
>>
>>167663370
Well, first off, good job on beating Gascoine, he's the traditional "fuck this" point for new players. Vicar Amelia is the required boss for the main story, while the Bloodletting Beast will get you access to the chalice dungeons, which you really don't need to subject yourself to unless you decide to dive into hardcore meta stuff, which I'd suggest putting off until at least your second character.
>>
>>167663518
They rotate at like 2 miles an hour and have windups visible from fucking China. Moreover, once you hit them like 3 times their rage pops, at which point they stand still for like 5 full seconds. Get behind them and chain-backstab. They're really not hard.
>>
>>167663593
Man it was really hard but totally worth fighting through. This is an amazing game
>>
>>167663370
Bridge boss -> Graveyard Boss -> Past the Gatling Gun boss -> To the left of the church boss (witches) -> die to a bag man boss -> tranforming woman in the church boss

>>167663518
They go a really slow punch where they raise their had above their heads, Parry that. Watch their elbows to adjust your timing. You need to parry the swing, not the windup.

Then just visceral them. When they are standing up, be kind of close, and they will try a kick. The kick is easy to dodge, gets them away from walls, and gives you more time to get behind them.

Once you are behind them, land a fully charged R2, and it will drop them so you can BS them. They should be dead by that point.
>>
>>167660951
I realize now that I phrased that in such a way to mean the opposite of what I intended. If you SUMMON other players, what's the right level of cowardice vs survival?
>>
>>167663709
It's not the problem outside frenzy mode realistically, they're slow but I can hit them once or twice at best. Frenzy mode on the other hand when the decide to activate it I'm always too far away for any sort of charge back attack to get a visceral at all. Plus they're attacks are obnoxious for no good reason especially with the bag they have, one time it wound itself up only to slam into me seconds later like the cheap spinning bitch it is. It's like I'm playing Dark Souls 2 for fuck sake, enemies never stagger and teleport attacks into you every time plus hit way too much.
>>
>>167663098
Ball/Chain Giant is the easiest out of the 3 though. HMPH and Darkbeast are pretty brutal.
>>
>>167663919
>decide to activate it I'm always too far away for any sort of charge back attack to get a visceral at all
Well there's your fucking problem. Get aggressive and stay close, and learn to predict their moves.

Also, seriously, 16 vit? Come on now.
>>
>>167663848
Just let them take the lead unless you fail repeatedly because you keep dying like a bitch. At that point, just stay back.
>>
>>167663848

If you're summoning other players, then the players being summoned should be fully aware that they're likely going to have to carry you, as that is the main reason for people summoning in the first place at this point. This is even more likely to be clear if you talk to the person you're summoning before hand

My advice would be to play as you normally would. If you start changing your gameplay style you're only going to make things harder for yourself. Just play as you normally would, be aware of where your summon is and what they're doing, and you should be fine
>>
>>167663919
They've got a huge weakness in their slow enrage animation and get up slowly, because it's piss easy to chain-backstab them. To balance that, they're pretty nasty otherwise.

I hope you're not trying to use the tricked axe to backstab.
>>
>>167663810
Thanks it's worth a shot I suppose, later at least. I'm too frustrated with it at the moment. I'll try out what you said for parries though, in the end I may land it too late getting the parry but still taking the punch.
>>167664005
Okay. I usually try to stay away from most enemies outside of bosses unless it's one against one. These guys I just stay mid-distance because fuck their nonsense. As for 16 vitality it's an old thing from Dark Souls I tend to do where I force requirement for the weapon I want as early as possible instead of leveling hitpoints. This is the only place it's really been treating me poorly and I didn't intend to go to Yahar'gul the bagmong hideaway.
>>
>>167664084
I tend not to go for tricked for actually because I find it to be slower than untricked. Currently I used a Hunter's Axe and Saw Cleaver both are only +3 currently however.
>>
>>167664180
>>167664281

You probably should leave the general until you finish your first playthrough to keep yourself fresh. There's stuff it's more enjoyable to discover for yourself.

Also, the tricked mode on the axe is its primary attraction, specifically its L2 and charged R2, which are some of the best anti-group movesets in the base game.
>>
>>167664418
My second save I was done approximately 60% of the game and working on chalice dungeons for those stones. I bought the expansion and on a new account without knowing I would lose my save. >>167665634

How much to do play, how long have you been playing, and how comfortable are you with your weapons, their stamina usage, and most importantly, how well do you respond to ambushes and sudden changes in you combat advantage (I.E; Going down a path to kill two enemies so they can't ambush you, only to turn around and find 10 or so enemies, the real ambush, slowly walking towards you)?

If the answers are not long and don't know, then level 70 at an absolute minimum, but I'd recommend as high as 80-90 to give yourself more lee-way for mistakes

If you can answer those questions more positively, you just dive in whenever you feel like, it's not like the enemies will be hitting you often enough for your level to matter

You'll be fine, aboose the wacky raky, church pick, and other fantastic PvP weapons and take advantage of your massive visceral damage. People won't necessarily expect a parry from you since you likely won't be using the well known BLT weapons that most parry spammers use due to gun damage

>>167666673
Alright, that's good, I thought I messed up by spreading stats away from END and VIT to put into BLT, glad I'm not totally worthless.
>>
>>167666818

It's difficult to be totally worthless in this game provided you can learn your strengths and play to them, since your stats have very little effect on the physical properties of weapons, such as range and speed, or the physical capabilities of your character, such as dodging and parrying

You have high SKL and medium level BLT. Use the Evelyn as it should have outscaled the hunter's pistol by now, and use the best scaling SKL weapons. Learn their movesets, practice on people, and there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to do well. If all else fails, gem a weapon for poison since the majority of people still adhere to the 12 END meta

>realizing you can parry/visceral just about anything including a decent amount of bosses
Well that made the game a whole lot easier. Parries seem a lot more forgiving in this than in the other Souls games, you don't even need to risk being hit.

>>
>>167662203
Land a bunch of attacks on them then be ready to dash behind so when they start charging their angry more you're already charging your R2. After that just visceral, dash forward and R1 them to death. By far the easiest way I came up so far.
>>
>>167662203
Super easy to backstab. Just pretend you're playing Dark Souls and circle strafe around until you get an opening. If one backstab doesn't kill them, do it again when they get up. If you cancel their powerup animation, you can chain backstab them indefinitely.
>>
>>167670390
All you need to do is to stay just within range for them to try and attack you, not actually hit you. If you manage to land the parry one or two dashes forward will still give you enough time to land a visceral before they recover. On top of that you can throw on some of the runes that give you HP/bullets for landing one.

The next time you can get Nourishings is from Amygdala in Defiled Pthumeru, which I want to say can hit 17-19%.
>>
>>167673861
You can, but what's the point. If you're good enough to beat depth 3 stuff, you're good enough to clear NG and get Mensis gems. Just use suboptimal gems until then. If you're still on NG then most of your damage comes from leveling your weapon and stats.

The cooperator's job is to help the host beat the level/boss. The invader wants to kill the host. If the invader thinks the best way to do that is to eliminate the cooperator(s) first, there is literally nothing wrong with that and you're just bitching.

Invasions aren't duels, if you expect people to fight "honorably" while you try to 2v1 them and then get upset when they don't just run into your fucksquad and die, you're the real cancer.
>>
>>167674825

For trophies like collecting all of the weapons, do you need to have all of them on one character or can you collect them on seperate characters.

things with patches and the spider covenant seems possible to me, i mean you can use an umbilical cord there. and there are 4 different cords.

Furthermore, castle cainhurst seems like it was very undeveloped or rather : something more is hidden within the covenant. More quest lines or something.

But the vilebloods didn't start killing hunters and church memebers because of the experiments the church did (right?). Also I think that the regular hunter only wanted to kill beasts and help, without knowing that it's the fault if the church. So it's not justified to kill them. And the church had a reason to attack them because they broke the NAP by stealing the blood from burgertown. Also vilebloods are cucks.

I was talking about DS2. My point was I've had stutters - just that, stutters at worst - playing Bloodborne online, 99% of the time I connect just fine, no one's teleporting, I connect to random SRRC co-op in 2-5 minutes, every so often there's some lag in someone's movement or a boss goes still for a few seconds. I would rather take a mostly fine online where I've experienced only a mere handful of truly shit pinglord connections over the span of nearly two years, over not getting any at all. I have no idea why you're having a problem with it.

I completely misunderstood, sorry anon. Yeah, sometimes the connections are a bit dodgy, I'll agree. I've gone three days in a row now with absolutely marvelous connections to random SRRC co-op, not a bother, same with using passwords. There's been other times sitting there for fifteen minutes wondering if someone's using the right pass or not. But then again, it's not even necessarily From, I know my Internet tends to fluctuate wildly in speeds sometimes, I'm sure other people's do, too. It's frustrating, but I have no idea what causes any of it. Seeing summon signs on Dark Souls, hitting them and then getting a connection error drives me up a wall, PS4 DS2 has such a sparse population that I jumped at the chance of co-op whenever I saw a sign only for something to shit the bed.

This is no ordinary hunt- nobody is freaking out because they have no idea how bad things are going to get.

I think you're right about the church taking over. It went from Gehrmans old style of master and apprentice to a big organization- they needed more room to train and equip all the church hunters

You know, I just wanna say something.

After all this time, I think Hotdog has actually become one of my favorite bosses.

I used to hate him, I used to think he had too much HP, I used to think he hit too hard.

But you know, he's actually extremely unique. He changes phases based on body part damage, and I think he's the only boss that does. He always eventually sets back to 'phase 1' so you aren't stuck with the mess you can get yourself into breaking all of his legs.

His patters are fair and controllable, and his hitboxes are on point. He's extremely punishing to novice players but laughable easy to experienced players, a perfect gradient of difficulty.

They might not have been the brains of the Workshop, but they were the heart. They got sick of Gehrman and Maria throwing around their silly little blades like knife jugglers, and just wanted to blow the shit out of beasts. So they did, complete with a shoulder-dislocating weapon attached to the arm, a gigantic cannon and gatling gun better suited for battle, a hammer with a furnace attached, and a huge whirling mass of sawblades on the end of a mace.
In all honesty, they were better prepared for the hunt than just about everyone else

>>167712935
At this point it's better to go 117 then, 35/50 skl/blt is good. You can get the untricked chikage/bowblade to AR 500+ easily so you can use the full moveset for convenience and you'll also have good visceral damage. I'd also get 14 strength so you can use the bloodletter as well, as it's the only blood weapon with no downsides to staying always tricked.

Hibiki is a ghost. Angel to some, demon to others. Hibiki comes out of the dark to aid hunters, but why? Hibiki's motives are unknown, but ultimately beneficial. Who can say what drives the figure known as Hibiki. Maybe some old promise, a curse, a vow, or mere fancy. Regardless, Hibiki is here, a silent figure, watching, lurking, with an Internet connection of unparalleled speed and solidity, swooping in noiselessly with nary a post to show that they were here, nor there. And then, like a flash in a storm, Hibiki is gone until the next time.

You can't really farm them until you hit Loran.

There's enough to +7 two weapons between Woods, Frontier, and Yahar.

Lore (making multiple posts for ease of reading):
The story begins with Abraxas, the self-proclaimed Pirate King fleeing the Royal Navy. Abraxas was the head pirate in the area, with all others kicking up to him and following him into pillaging. However, the Navy on his tail proved an issue, until cutting a deal with the Sea God. With the help of a few oddball witch doctors, he made the deal: eternal protection onto him, his followers, and all his heirs, in exchange for his, Abraxas', eternal servitude unto the god. The god accepted, granting him a seemingly endless pile of tiny jewels as proof of the pact (these jewels act as humanity/insight, all pirates possess them whether they know it or not, proof that they can take the legacy of King). All pirates sailed into a fog leading to an uncharted area of the map, one where they began storing their treasure. Abraxas united them to share their surplus wealth, a plan that worked surprisingly well for a few generations. Abraxas remained with the treasure, in part of his duty to the God. After a few attempted robberies, the pirate captains at the time decided to seal it, making an eight of the key for each of them so it could only open when all were present (this is what we're after, the pieces of eight that fell into the hands of the last captains). A few generations later, they started killing each other over it. Abraxas (essentially immortal but withering from age) cursed them all for their traitorous ways, sending them to the corners of the oceans, never to see the whole of the wealth. Abraxas still waits with the treasure, awaiting the heir who will take his place and relieve him of his life as King.

2 is really the only souls with a team who cared about optimization and good ports though. I don't need to explain the pc port of 1, and the original version itself already shits the bed at parts. 3 is mostly fine, but some people like my friend still get random CTDs. I haven't gotten a single error in 2's pc port since the latest update.

Bonelord Gold and other captains:
One of the last captains, Captain Montague, was known for his greed, distrust of all save himself, and his fighting style like that of a mad dog. After being cursed by Abraxas, he and his crew hid their loot in a single cave, melting half of it to form a gigantic golden skeleton, a way of warding off any potential intruders. After years of wasting away, he placed the tiny jewel into the eye socket of his creation, passing his spirit from his body to the guardian in doing so. He patiently awaited the day someone would be foolish enough to come find his treasure, that he may punish the intruder accordingly.

>>

Is that a veiled offer for help?

Anyway, i haven't really summoned in BB before - is there a level cap like in Souls? How big is it?

I ask, as i'm mainly doing chalices as a early way to get my burial blade - i'm not progressing past Shadows before I get it. It was meant to be a fairly low-level run, but the sweet sweet souls I was getting were too tempting and I've ended up at level 60 (is that underleveled? would that be out of range for help?).

How am I supposed to help people coop defiled amygdala? You can't really do the jump cheese with randoms. I can hit her in the head with my HMLS beams but she just has so much fucking health even 2500 damage in two charged R2 beams seems pathetic. Then the host just dies in one hit after 4 minutes of whittling her down to 20% health

I don't know what to do, should I just try and focus or her arms with the axe and hit her head when I have an opportunity? I feel bad that I can never help anyone beat her
>>
>>167742712
Executioner gloves, cast twice after every blood-bullet. When you know the head is coming down get a hit or two with your weapon. Last phase you can cheese since it's the easiest to do so and the Beckoner usually stays back. If you have enough bullets/vials you can keep casting gloves.
>>
>>167742712
Easiest is probably just have a dedicated ARC build cause Executioner's Gloves absolutely destroys her. A Call Beyond does massive damage too but I find that Executioner's is much safer and does close to the same amount of damage.

Another way to do it is to have a high BLT build and just spam Repeating Pistol/Evelyn with BMA at her head.

It's an optional challenge hidden at the end of a long line of optional challenges.

I'd argue it doesn't really count, it's there as an additional challenge to players who want that extra bit of difficulty.

Now on the other hand if it was a boss in the main game that dropped a certain item needed to make another boss fight possible however...
