There is so much difference between a plat/plat diamond/diamond player it is not even funny anymore. Not just my teammates, if someone don't play terribly I don't blame anyone for the stomp but the system. For many matches it is like masters vs silver.

They allow you to react faster, which helps a lot with characters like Zarya.

I was using a 4k monitor before and I react 30 ms slower using it.

Beware, though, the colours are absolute shit on most of them, and you have to use strobing to prevent blur, which makes the screen pretty dark and visibly flashes if your frame rate is below 90. You have to pay a lot of money to avoid shit image quality.

I wouldn't really advise it unless you're really high tier already, otherwise you're going to become dependant on it while it only provides a minimal advantage.

No way. I climbed from 2500-3500 and I noticed a huge difference in quality of my teammates. In plat you get a bunch of 'mains' that only play 1 character and people who think they are better than everyone else and try to carry by exclusively playing dps. No one ever wants to play healer and most of the people who are healers are only playing it because they are forced to. 3-4 dps teams with 1 tank and 1 healer are extremely common.

In mid-upper diamond and up people want to win more and play good teams. 3-4 tanks become more common, you always have 2 supports, and some people even instant lock support characters. A lot of people have wider character pools and will fill in what the team needs. You never see anyone not go support when they are the last ones who haven't picked a character and all dps/tank roles are filled.

One good player can still carry a game. It's not like in mobas, where you can snowball, but getting consistent picks on the enemy is a huge advantage. It's harder to carry than in mobas, but it happens.

The point is that if you have 12 players, where each of them is in 2000, you will have a 50/50 chance of winning for each team, ideally.
If you are a 3000 and play with 11 2000 players, you will skew the probabilities in your favour, and the ratio is not 50/50 anymore. It is as simple as that.

While it's a team-objective game, if you are good you are less likely to do some decisive plays or decisive picks that will bring your team to victory.
